True, this is a good military victory, but the other side of that coin is that 60% of military deaths in Afghanistan have come while Obama has been president. And the intel that made getting Bin Laden possible came from information obtained starting 4 years ago using the interrogation methods Obama railed against from prisoners at Guantanamo, which he wanted to shut down. So I wouldn't count on Bin Laden's death being enough for re-election. It is awesome though... and I'm glad Obama green-lit the thing. For real, I watched him speak today for the first time ever without wanting to jam an icepick into my brain. :p |
haha yeah-- On the military side, i totally agree he shouldn't be praised for this 'result', since its laughable/tragic the cost it took, but i think people don't usually consider that when voting, and will see only the positive side-- Will really depend if there's any REAL competition against obama- will definitely have to have a war vet to stand a chance though, and hopefully get a running mate who isn't criminally retarded... |

Unlike usual, I only bothered to read the first three pages of this thread. I just couldn't stomach any more stupidity. Anyway, my 2c: I won't believe this until I see a body.

You know,
I didn't really want him killed like that because he can now become a martyr for the twisted and a source of nuttery for the unbalanced. If I were Obama, I'd shoot him with tranquillisers, kidnap him, and show him on television covered in jelly fighting against raging lesbians. Or maybe I'd just kidnap him and bring the bugger to the Hague.
It's all pretty much the same thing, really.
