This is certainly a valid point. That is the problem with these "conspiracy theories" and assumptions. There are valid points on both sides and conclusions are never reached.
I don't have much experience with large scale deception so I'm not quite sure how easy it would be to hide something like this from a large amount of people. I can only speculate. My guess is , it is very possible. I mean if you have ten dead brown dudes with turbans and beards and shoot them all in the face - they would all look similar. Moreover, the body was probably concealed for most of the time and sent to sea very quickly. I don't think many people had much time to really sit and inspect the body. |

The point is, the larger they are and more people are involved, the harder it will be to keep. In essence a big lie with a small group of people is far easier than small lie with a big one.
Also, I just don't think Obama (or any politician) would be stupid enough to try to fake a situation like this. If he got caught the fallout would just be too immense - the risk is not worth the reward.
When you compare what would be needed to fake it (from the people, to the paperwork, to the preceding intel, to the video of the deed, etc etc) it's simply not viable. Certainly not impossible, but highly implausible, relying heavily on mass deception across multi government agencies and personnel and made especially unlikely when the reality is not that far fetched.
You have to realize the sheer resources that have been put in to finding one man - it's not that implausible, if anything it's quite cack it took them this long. |

This is exactly my point. Look how many times you mentioned "DOUBLE TAP TO THE CHEST AND ONE TO THE HEAD". You have to admit it is a much more effective image than obama dying slowly from starvation or one of the thousands of other ways he could have died. If the American people want a little bit of Hollywood and Videogames , then that's what Obama gives them. And you guys eat it up , while playing your PS3 and imagining that holds any resemblance to real life. |

Yes, your reasoning is sound but I have to say - if those are your 2 MAIN reasons, then you leave a lot of room for the possibility of his death being caused by something other than a NAVY SEAL direct attack.
1) There could be many reasons why AL Qaeda would not want to disprove the story and many reasons why it might not be easy. I admit, the likelihood of you being right in this case is high, but it is far from conclusive.
2) Again lots of possible reasons - announcing right before election would cause greater suspicion, waiting too long would risk the news being exposed but what I think is the most probably is that Obama really didn't have selfish motives. He took credit for America, because that's whats good for the people. It is not about promoting his own election - although that is a nice side-effect - but more about boosting overall moral and justifying all the effort they put into this fiasco. |

The top 5 high school history books had at most 2 paragraphs on Abraham Lincoln and full chapters on Bill Clinton. |

Also, even if thats true, it still reflects what the problem is.
Everything that is covered in history books is either up to the end of World War I or II. After that its a brief pass over of the last 50-70 years and a chapter on the present day, when I was a kid that was of course Bill Clinton if the books were new enough, and Bush or even Reagan if the books were older, but even then details were sparse, no current events, nothing of any sort of real value. Most of the time teachers didn't even make it to that part of the book by the end of the year. The most influential part of our history on the current day is glossed over.
Hell, we had a world issues class and most of that was rather pointless and didn't cover anything in detail, nor anything in the last 25 years. |
