Typing the phrase "too convenient" made me feel kind of dirty. It sounds like something a conspiracy theorist would say, frequently. Then again, my idea that they haven't got him is very conspiracy-ist.
I think it more likely they received reliable information he died some years ago, either as collateral damage in another attack, or some other cause. Now Obama wants to take credit. It would certainly serve to silence the rednecks who call him a closet Muslim, etc.

i dunno man. pretending you caught terrorist celebrity #1 isn't the kind of secret that gets kept. there would be photos and DNA results to forge etc. its a pretty big risk imo.
