Oh, well that's even more stupid. You can keep believing that all you'd like :haha: |
Stupid? Don't you think its entirely possible that Osama could have died anytime in the last 10 years? |

New York was never "attacked", per se.
It was a false flag op.

woah, woah nou. Take it easy on the guy, he's probably just speculating ideas that in some way or form have no relation to his actual beliefs. |
I'm not pointing fingers and claiming right or wrong. Osama is dead and US wants to take credit. Nobody is getting hurt and the US certainly deserves the credit (at least more than any other nation) so why not? That's why I wouldn't call it a conspiracy cause I don't really see it as a big deal. They just wanted to go out with a bang and not a whimper. |

Yes. That in and of itself is entirely possible. However, the fact that the US "staged" an elaborate covert ops mission into Pakistan on a completely arbitrary date, just to fake the capture and/or killing of Osama bin Laden is far-fetched to say the least. Why would they do this now? Why not wait until a couple months before the 2012 election? What you're suggesting went down just doesn't make any sense. They could have much more easily flattened his compound with a missile, said he was there, and accomplished the same thing. The main difference here is that in a missile strike, the body would have probably been destroyed beyond recognition, so it would be a bit more difficult to positively ID a subject from samples of blood or flesh that have been dug out from a massive pile of rubble. |

1) Neither of us really know how "elaborate" the staged part was. But like I said, those are details. Maybe they did require some time and effort, but compared to the benefits they were small.
2) America is going through a tough time financially and economically. Morale is low and people are doubting the competence of Obama more than ever (or at least before this event). You make the point that he would have waited till right before the election, but there are many points for why that is a bad idea. For example it would be much more suspicious, waiting could have risked the news being exposed prematurely, or simply because when you have an ace up your sleeve you always have the urge to throw it down.
3)Flattening his compound with a missile would be a terrible idea. |

:haha: irrelevant. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I guess the reason I think that's how it happened is because if I were in Obama's shoes that's what I would do. I definitely think this issue needed closure and that's what Obama delivered. |

I think it's funny how a Government making any kind of important announcement always sparks a bunch of people to either flat out say they're lying, or make up some elaborate conspiracy theory about it.
Thank you, Mr. Assange.
What would you be saying if Obama had come out and said "Osama bin Laden is definitely not dead. We definitely didn't send a SEAL team in, and they definitely didn't give him a double tap to the head and one in the chest for good measure. A helicopter also didn't need to make an emergency landing outside the compound after receiving gunfire from guards posted on the roof. None of that happened. Carry on with your evenings." |

I think sometimes the government tells the truth and sometimes the government lies. To think they never lie is naive. Do I think they are bad willed? No. Sometimes "lying" is good - such as this instance. |
