edit: saw the FAQ page, nvm

FAQ aside, from experience, VIP is the ONLY way to go. The VIP area basically overlooks the rest of the festival and has sweet lounging furniture, tents, etc to hang out with your friends and other VIPers. Clean bathrooms. Absolutely no line ever to get back in the festival. And a bunch of free drinks + t-shirt...and the drinks are cheaper up there too (but if you're smart you stay at the RenCen or Courtyard Marriott and just walk to your room, get some shots going, and go back in...or it and bring a flask, they NEVER search you)! The whole VIP area just has a great vibe to it. And no I don't work for Paxahau, I just think the VIP at that festival s on any other VIP at any other festival.

Yeah, this thread is getting me a little excited for DEMF, to say the least. What a freaking atmosphere. After parties are just sick as hell. Saw CLR at Elysium Lounge in 2011 (my first DEMF) and was skeptical about the quality of venues. Let me just say that that place was built just for Liebing and Speedy J...old Victorian "dark" type of interior design with the pulsating dark techno of CLR...freakin crazy man. Just prior to that, I watched Richie Hawtin close out Beatport stage in a pesky mild rain (which went on that whole day) and man was it dark...next night I went to dirtybird at Club Bleu and to be honest, I have never felt such a good positive badass vibe as I did in that place that night (plus the sound in there was phenomenal)...all of db threw the down too...you guys gotta go.

For those of you that have never been, it's truly the best festival experience you can imagine if you're into techno and house music. Very well curated and executed and your biggest worries all weekend will be deciding which stage to stay at. Beatport Stage in the back is usually the safest bet...Made in Detroit stage has some real gems though too...Aril Brikha was mesmerizing.

For all those home- big treat- grab a drink and listen to Liebing Live on Be-at tv...killing it.

Hey so what are everyones weekend plans looking like?

Friday BLKMarket looks pretty stacked, but then there's this CityFox thing that I've been getting spammed about. Anyone know about these events?

Saturday you got Tiefschwarz Bros and also this Tom Hades thing that's kind of burried on RA $30 presale though, a bit steep no?

If you haven't seen tiefschwarz (both bros), than that's where you should be at this weekend.

Eh, I guess you can. But I'd say they're more like tech-house (they can get deep, too). I haven't really been much up on their label released stuff, tbh. However, I've listened to quite a few of their sets that's been going around recently and it's good ish- puts ants in my pants!

Every time that I've seen them live, they've ALWAYS rocked though- well, for the most part it's just been Ali. But their last appearance (just last yr) was both of them, finally, and it was dopee!

I def would be there on sat, however, I'm going to Omar-S instead...come through since I just realized this was the techno thread and I babbled about something else all along. $10, can't beat that..

btw, thanks for the ride...sorry about my friend and the way she was freaking out :toothless
