Alfi, unless you're a native speaker yourself, you need to be incredibly arrogant to judge a construction you've never seen as ungrammatical - specially if it was uttered/typed by a native speaker.

In this case, the only thing missing could be the comma (hardly a serious grammatical mistake here), and it's obvious "My" stands for "My God"/"My Goodness"/"My whatever", with an ellipsis of the noun. A quick google search can show you how common this construction is.

Can the two of you go each other already? , this board has enough problems already, without the two of you going fullretard.

18900 hit's tells me it's not as common as you claim.
And it's "oh my". It's the proper, and non-blasphemic, shortening of "oh my god", used a lot during like the 40's-50's.

Dozens of thousands of results don't count as "common"?

What's the Alfi Common ThresholdTM? A hundred thousand hits? A million hits? A trillion hits?

It's over 9000, and that's all I care.

I don't know, man. But let's look at the facts;
A quick search for "fat as a bat" , which is pure palaver - bat's are tiny, they can't be fat! - reveals the phrase has been uttered 71,900 times more on the internet, than your 'common' saying. Too further back up my point, the top result's title is even "Random uncategorized nonsense".

Edit: For some reason there's keeps popping up an :o in the middle of the hyperlink when I try to post google searches. When I edited your brazilian google link, it revealed 105,000 hit's for the fat bats.

Anyways, like with chicken wings, the punctuation error jab was just a delivery system for the wing sauce, which I admit was no buffalo wing sauce, rather than a mere reprisal of a previous comment I made to him. He think's it's funny to keep saying I have ing Downs, without any provocation, and posting that one picture of me from when I had my nose broken, so I'll keep doing the same to him. At least my insults have any truth to them.
I'll admit I look retarded, but if you think that's what Downs Syndrome looks like then you know -all about nothing.
I'm not the one who started this, but by God I'm gonna be the one to end it.

You need to stop telling native English speakers they're using their own language incorrectly. It's perfectly acceptable to use "My" at the start of a sentence as short-hand, although I'd say it's probably more commonly intended as a truncation of "My word" than "My God".

Another common phrase that uses this construction would be "My, what a..." Run a Google search for that and you'll find it has 12,000,000 results.

Now shut the up.

Haha, relax I was just being silly ffs. I've quit 'correcting' people, unless there's some sort of possible double meaning, a long time ago. The exception being for people who have a shall we say slight tendency to correct people on the most mundane and generic stuff.

And I'll never shut the up. Not in a billion year. I'm gonna ing find out how to become a force ghost, and then I'm gonna turn you into one too, and I'm gonna sit real close to you and make snarky, borderline - who am I kidding, they'll be full on - retarded comments. All day long. And then during the night we'll go out and fight Sith s yehaaaa!

How's that for a preview, bitch? :gsmile:

Lira
Actually, it's not obvious that you're being silly. It seems you tried to say something and, because we refuted the one argument you're not competent to make, you tried to make it look like you were trolling all along.

I you were really just being silly, you really need to work on that, because I'm not sure anyone here can tell you were kidding.

But, if he makes it look obvious that he's trolling, doesn't that negate his attempt at trolling?
