the only way to combat the evil religious plebeians is to come up with a church of our own. as the atheist messiah i will not die for your sins. let's call it the church of john denver. john stockton and carl malone can be disciples. we need a symbol to represent the fact that there is no god to these religious s. my guess is nou.
we can go door to door handing out pamphlets against religion. we can have bake sales and bingo games in our basement to raise money for non charities. we can send missionaries to africa to make sure kids starve. this is going to be huge.

we aren't going to mess with the jews though, because we might need lawyers eventually. |

Because most religious people don't get to put up with religion, ironically. Someone who never went to church in their life or read the Bible could hold public office as long as they stuck the label "Christian" on themselves. Someone who isn't even outspoken about their atheism (although admits to being one) on the other hand gets at least an automatic 50% reduction in the chances of them being elected.
This thread though has steered down an odd path of the "me victim!" complex, claims of out of context Hitchens'Harris quotes. Some inane rambling about fictional dystopian nonsense as if it were even relevant and wrapped it up with a "you guys are too serious" resignation that is oh so typical of someone who has run out of things to say. |

Ok, you could read the first 2 pages of the satanic bible then. That'd take longer so I fail to see how saying something along the lines of "you should read original sources and not just believe what you read on wikipedia" applies to just not bothering to look up information at all. That's just dumb and taken out of context.
Regardless you're still absolutely wrong and when some basic fact checking would take 30 seconds on google you're just being a moron. |

I never portrayed myself as an expert user on ecstasy. There's all information of the kind I mentioned on wikipedia so again, you're being an idiot and saying stupid crap that either is obviously not true (like saying that something I mentioned was atheist must worship a supernatural being) or could be discovered to be not true with 30 seconds to 2 minutes worth of research.
As for who's a better person or who's a loser, I don't give a I'm just pointing out mistakes you've made. |
