| I'm trying this new vapour diet, where you focus on your breathing all day long and insert an extra inhale-exhale every other breath. If you time it right, you can burn 14 calories per hour and increase your chance of contracting a minor respiratory illness which on average can cause you to lose 6lbs. of water weight over a 2 week period. It's great- I've burned almost 98 calories today! I like to bank it all for the end of the week so I can have an 800 calorie ice cream sandwich. I've actually gained a bit of weight, but I'm sure it's all muscle, because, you know, muscle is heavier than fat HAH! |

That seems like a load of crap tbh. How can you calculate how much your body has burnt? That's like impossible to determine because everyone is different. |

It's just commonly held bull that meal size/frequency means much at all. Just tiny differences nobody knows how to account for, but probably not due to wrangling metabolic rates. I buy that people could trick themselves into thinking it's important, and that this is maybe an improvement on their self-image/mental health, but there's simply no empirical evidence to support the notion of people who claim to have lost weight because they instituted some 'no food after 7pm' rule or something like that. Just get the right food into you and in the right proportions, and you will lose fat. |

When I was referring to the times. I was referring to eating low carbs, high protein based source and an omega 3 source outside your workout session and a high carb source with protein and omega 3 source after your workout session which last for about 3 hours and it won't get stored as fat.
I often eat at 8 pm sometimes a couple of hours before I go to sleep but they are generally low carb meals. |

Ok, well you've convinced me you didn't get your diet tips from your Aunt's gossip magazine. :p
Sorry, I just hear it way too often, and it doesn't ing matter AT ALL for the vast majority of people's diets. There's really no direct evidence to suggest that meal frequency is the cause of fat loss, but the correctly proportioned meals and their frequency can certainly contribute to how hard/long you work out, which can lead to a more regulated metabolism and muscle structure.
Planning carbs around your workout sure helps with stamina and recuperation, but if you are in a carb deficit by the end of the day, I don't think it would be harmful to get some in you (even before bed!) as your overall proportions are vastly more important to your health than trying to monkey in some sort of obscure caloric sequence. In fact, the arbitrary rules are probably more harmful to diets in an overall sense, because they can deprive people of energy and worsen their moods. |

I've looked and researched deeply into this diet and its been researched for over 25 years and plus a lot of athletes and body builders are on it. Its not one of those gimmick, fad or product endorsement diets. Planning carbs also helps with fat loss too and that's why I eat 6 meals a day plus protein shake before and after a workout as well. I feel more alert throughout the day with this diet my mood has improved significantly I don't feel as cranky or depressed like I used to. |

16:18 - Strategic deployment of complex carbohydrates, protein, and sugars commenced. So long as I stick to eating month-old raspberries every 90 minutes for the rest of the day, I'll lose 2lbs. by tomorrow...
