some are full Greyhound/tour bus-sized with a bathroom. But a few are the smaller ones like you see at an airport rental car shuttle.... basically just random luck what you get but more seem to be the big ones. |

I didn't really see many small buses, and if you do get stuck with a small one, I'd wait for the bigger one. I think I pissed three times on the way home, and would have died without that bathroom.
Another tip if you don't mind spending a few $ or walking a few blocks, some of the bus lines were a lot smaller for the less popular casino buses. The Circus Circus bus line was probably double of some of the other ones. This time I'm just going to get in what ever line is the shortest and is going to the strip, then cab it or walk. I think I waited 3 hours or so in the damn line on Friday and Sunday morning. |

yeah we did that once going back to the Hard Rock when we were staying at MGM Signature as the line for the HR was non-existent and long for the MGM. |

On day 3 last year, I took the shuttle over with some friends...from Monte Carlo, I think. Took the Bellagio shuttle back and then went to Paris for breakfast buffet before crashing back at Luxor. The shuttle rides are so much more fun when you go with friends, seemed like it was only 5 minutes! I quickly learned that it doesn't matter which casino you depart from or return to, long as you have a shuttle wristband.
One of the drivers took the back roads and got us there in about 35 minutes, but he said the ones taking the freeway were stuck in traffic for about 1 1/2 hours. If there are dedicated shuttle roads this year, as I read somewhere, that should help a lot.
As for leaving EDC, I was a guinea pig on the first night of EDC 2011, the very first shuttle rides back from EDC. Left a half hour before it ended and wound up in a humongous line that took like 3 hours...people sitting and laying on concrete into the sunrise, thought somebody was gonna die but they eventually brought out free water and sports drinks.
That was worst night ever, they had people queue up under tents after that, and think I waited 30 mins max...but I always left at least an hour early. If you stay, you will pay...lol |

Traffic effects everyone, taxi, bus, drive yourself, it doesn't matter, everyone is stuck in it. The taxi will probably cost over $100 since they charge for time in traffic as well. |

I took a Taxi to the Speedway last year(Not for EDC and with zero traffic) and it was $150 one way. |

| I'm going to be in Vegas a couple days prior as well as a couple days after EDC. What are the best day/night clubs to check out? I don't really care about which DJ is playing as long as the venue is good. |

most impressive is XS
other nightclubs to check out would be Marquee, Hakkasan, Light.
pools to check out: Encore Beach Club, Marquee, Daylight, Hard Rock, Wet Republic |

yeah I've looked into those. are there any significant differences between these upscale places? What makes XS better than the rest? And which one would you say has the best pool? |

they are all fun. XS is the most impressive in terms of design and wow factor IMO.
Light and Daylight aren't even open yet so remains to be seen how they will look.
Hakkasan is big and nice but missing that 'it' factor IMO.
for pool I think Marquee is too small and crowded. EBC is good. Wet Republic is always fun. Hard Rock if its the right kind of music (its hip hop some days). Daylight not open yet either but seems promising from the pics and renderings. |
