You guys might be mis understanding his comment, he didn't say he was going to close the main stage. He just said he is playing there. They can give him an early timeslot and that many people wouldn't clear because its early in the evening.
But, that might be my observation. He could be closing out. |

Is there some sort of a schedule for this? Perhaps a rookie question but it's not that far away.
What time would you guys recommend I leave to go to this thing on the shuttle? I would rather not sit in traffic so I'm fine with leaving early. |

schedule ... like ... set times? or shuttle schedule? if the former, it will probably be out a week or so before the event itself. if the latter, that's a good question. anyone know if there's a shuttle schedule? or do they run continuously? |

shuttles run all night hours though technically they say you can't ride back from say EDC to the hotel before 1am or so...
if it was me i'd start walking out around 330/345 assuming they end at 5am this year.... if you are in the shuttle line around 4am you should have little to no wait. |

for me that would depend on the set times.
last 2 years we usually walked down to the shuttle between 10 and 11pm and took 45 -60+ minutes to get there and walk in - the people that play very early rarely was someone we were excited to see but you may feel different once the schedule is out. |

ok that's a bit more comforting. More into techno, house, etc.. not so much the electro/trance/dubstep.
I'm glad I asked I thought I would have to sit in the hot sun drinking from a flask, to avoid a three hour traffic jam |

well some people are there open-to-close. i'm not one of them :)
wait until they release the set times and then start planning when to go and return. |
