i've heared ENOUGH discussion about this kinda thing.
i don't have to say much "monkey do what monkey does"

if u feel comfy with vinyl spin them... if u feel comfy with CDs, play them.
a good set is a good set... and a good DJ is a DJ that can incoperate ALL the tools he has available.. even if it means a pair of tape players and a cheap two channel battle mixer.

DJRocco's final thoughts "njoy a set not cuz the DJ is spinning apples instead of oranges, but rather njoy a set cuz it tastes sweet"

Here is a quote from a recent tiesto interview......

Question: Are you excited about DJ technology, and do you think is enhancing and allowing people to do things that they could not do before.

Tiesto: Yes, I think vinyl will disappear. Everybody is shocked when I say that, I mean it's the 21st century, we have [such] high tech [equipment] and a vinyl record is so old school.

vinyl will disappear in time...

I'm not sure about that. Vinyl has the advantage that you SEE what kind of music that's coming up. You dont have that with cd's. Unless you use a computer, but there the options are limited again...

More advanced CD players offer the user wavetables, which basically displays the volume levels of the entire track. That's comparable to grooves on a vinyl.
