Hah. Seems Lisa has already got her foot in the door here.
Anyway, her and I are 110% going to Holland for summer 2007, and we're going to need help and info with everything. We're probably going to stay in Amsterdam, or Arnhem with some family of mine, or where ever else I happen to have family that'll let us stay for a bit.
With this working holiday program through the Dutch and Canadian governments, we are allowed to work up to 24 hours per week (if I recall correctly). We're going to need to find temporary employment there to satisfy the requirements for the program. So, if anybody has some hookups, that'd be pretty helpful :D
Transportation. What are the laws regarding car rental in Holland? I would want to rent a car for day/weekend/whatever trips that we decide to do. I understand that the public transportation is pretty decent in Amsterdam, no? As non-European citizens, is it the InterRail or the Eurail that we would take if we travel out of Holland?
We're probably going to have to rent or sublet an apartment for a month or two as well, preferably in Amsterdam or nearby. We aren't sure where to start with this kind of thing, so if somebody could PM me and take us under their wing just for informative purposes, that would be most greatly appreciated. |

Are there any websites that allow you to look at apartments and stuff, including pictures?
I've got directwonen.nl, and homeinamsterdam.com.
Would any of you recommend any others, perhaps free ones? Directwonen requires you pay €35 to view pictures of places, and there's no way we're going in sight unseen. |

Yes magik store has closed.
In Breda there is another recordstore, they really are expanding their trance stock to fill in the gap magik has left behind. so check it out.

kind of a potheade question... i dont rly smoke so i dont concider it a pothead question
going there about 2 weeks before cannabis cup... is there gonna be more kinds of pot than usual because its 2 weeks before cannabis cup.. or no?
i feel stupid asking that haha |
