Hotels in Amsterdam itself are pretty expensive.

By car: Formula One Hotel is ok (43 Euro a night for a room (max 3 people), book now cause it will be full).

| hotel paris, or something like that, is pretty cheap too. close to central stration and the red light district :p its hard to explain where it is cause of the insane windy streets, but its kinda on the left hand side from the train station, behind the big church there. |
