4th of august, what to do? We're in for Dancevalley and looking for a good night out in Amsterdam on the 4th...

Recommendations? I know my way around A'dam pretty well. Figured Escape and Rush is a safe choice? Just as long we find some dutch birds (Wich shouldn't be too hard ;) ).

Any other alternatives? Maybe something a bit more in the trance-sort-of-way... or, preferrably, Hardstyle :)

Hello fellow TA's from Holland!

a good friend and I are planning to visit Europe in september for about 10 days.. we will definitely be spending some of the time in Amsterdam..

I am wondering if there are any "big" trance events happening during september..

I found a great link browsing through this big FAQ thread in partyflock.nl - but it mostly seems to list kinda general club nights.. I haven't seen a dj I recognize on there during september..

any tips or other sites would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Sorry mate, most of the bigger trance DJs from Holland are too busy filling their wallets abroad, resulting in almost no trance parties here in Holland.

not surprising... i was fortunate enough to see Tiesto @ the Melkweg last time I visited Amsterdam..

the big names don't matter too much, just would've loved to see Corsten or another old favourite..

what about this party

how is Catacomb Studio??

Never been there but from their website, it looks like they're some kind of studio space rental company.

Which isn't really a good thing, I'm afraid. But there might be someone here who's got more info.

Hi Dutch friends!

I am planning on being in Amsterdam some time between September and December (planning on October) and had a question about getting tickets for parties. Are there ANY websites in English that sell tickets to party nights in Amsterdam? Particularly, I was looking favorably upon the Q-Dance party Qlubtempo. I would VERY much like to go to this, but can't order tickets from q-dance.nl as I don't speak Dutch. Any way around this? Will there be tickets at the door to this party?

Most organizations don't sell tickets via their own websites...

Try:
www.ticketbox.nl
www.ticketservice.nl

And I guess they can be read in English...

At http://babelfish.altavista.com/ you can translate portions of text from Dutch into English for example.

Not the best of all translations, but most of the time good enough for getting most of the info needed.

www.ticketbox.nl can be switched to English, but you have to choose the event first, then choose the tickets and then you can press "Click here for English".

Note one thing: To Germany the Ticketbox orders are normally completed within 3-4 days and they stop selling to Germany 2 weeks before the actual event - so order in time, other countries (especially overseas) they might stop even earlier.

Not 100% sure I want to buy the tickets JUST yet, as I have to make absolutely sure that's the weekend I'll be in Amsterdam. I'm mostly planning my trip around a party, so I'll probably be there for Qlubtempo, but was hoping to buy tickets at the door instead if that's possible.

Is it likely that there will be tickets at the door, or do Q-Dance events sell out quickly?

Depends on the type of party...
