| It was my first time at a BeB event, and a first at any (dare i say) rave. It seems that i was the only one here who spent most of my time in the house room... but i popped in several times to check out armin and above and beyond. I think that Sultan did the best job that night. Unfortunately, when his time to play came, the dj before him screwed things up. Instead of playing hard beats for a while and let sultan cool things off, it was very melodic (and dissapointing) by nissim. The guy is a monkey in the booth, i found him to be very dramatic too. The sound was crap. Mic was crackling a bit when Maya was singing. Rauhofer wasnt bad either. When i found out that Nissims set was 2 hours long an hour into it i was gonna shoot myself. Thanks to Sultan for fixing things. Too bad he only had an hour to play. I also loved the minimal first bit of deep dish. At 9 30 my body failed me, so i had to leave. Oh well. Overall, it was an interesting night. If anyone doubted the beautiful women we have in Montreal, a night like this will surely change his mind!! |

I beg to differ on the girls part.. well yeah, there's GIRLS on the trance side.. but when you get past the odd gay mosh pit (heh heh) there's tons of WOMEN on the house side. Did you even go check out both sides like I did? :rolleyes: :p :p
Musically, the trance side was better for me this year than last, some good techno was being played there ;)
both rooms had solid choons. |

I totally hear you on that one. Saw him last summer at outside pride week, it was a joke. Waving around, acting and singing every fkn track like it was a opera show... he does it for 2 hours non-stop and it's totally fake and choreographed. He put his headphones on for 2 seconds, sometimes not even will he was mixing a flawless set. Either that set was pre-recorded, or everything was arranged so he didn't need to beatmatch.
And that Joe le Taxi track is just horrible.
I can understand why people love him, but as a DJ, I just find it a very staged and bogus act. |

I did and i agree with you Spin......at some points, esp towards the end, there was groups of 12 hot girls all with each other in the House Room.....
(i have a gf....shoot me now babe)

i have the same impression, it was too fluffy, to diva, too I don't know how to say it... anyways, tous les gouts sont dans la nature. |

I thought Bal en Blanc was amazing! The entire night was filled with great vibe and amazing people. The customs that some people came up with looked so good. I myself didn't do much for a custom so I was the your typical guy with out a shirt on...but I did have a white belt, shoes, and hat on!!!
The music was soo good! Although there had been some technical sound difficulties through out the night in the one room where AVB was I had no other issues with the place. I got in around 1 through the VIP entrance and that was nice to...I liked how the bathrooms where so close for us and we had the option of being able to go hang out by the DJ's.
SVD is awesome! Someone pointed out to me that Markus Schulz was standing in behind Sander, on the stage and it did kinda look like him. I didn't want to leave the front because the sound in behind the DJ booth wasn't that great because of the DJ Monitors.
But SVD was really good and he's got my vote for 2007 so far.
Petter Rauhofer killed it, what an awesome DJ...dirty beats!!! I wasn't expecting anything from this guy but whoa...I was thoroughly impressed!!! My only issue with the house room was that it was over whelmed with sooo many dudes, who where probably gay. I'm so glad I had a female with me. She was my shield. LoL
AVB was in such an amazing mood...I love seeing him jump around and get excited from start to end.
Second sun...Meh! He was alright.
I made my exit during Dubfires set which I think sucked. Who cares that there was problems with the sound it wouldn't have made a difference. I thought that for sure the Dynamic Duo would have been playing side by side, not, One after the other!!! :confused:
Can I get a whooooooaaa HOTTIES all over the place!!!! My neck is sore from checking out all the hot woman. Not to mention that it was a zoo of Friendly woman!!! I couldn't turn away from one girl and not talk to another. It was almost harassing, but I liked it!! I like Montreal woman Lots!!!! LOL
On my way out I was interviewed by CTV, I saw the broadcast that night on the local station in Montreal and I hope it didn't air in Ontario. I didn't look very sober :eyespop: LoL
All in All Bal en Blanc WAS everything I hoped to have expected it to be like, and WASN'T at all what I had heard it would be like.
I got recognized by a few TA's, and I saw you guys too but we where all in the midsts of having some good times. Nice to see you though ;) . |

you sure about that now? Yeah, lots of shirtless guys there, and maybe 60 percent were gay but I also saw a fair amount of 16, 17 year olds in the trance room and the Great Wall of China/Guv there too :p |
