ok well my night was lining out to be a total disaster. I was also one of those stuck waiting!! HORRIBLE!!! I dont know what happened...but that situation was TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!! I got there at like 3:30..and what time did I get in? thats right...6:30!!!! after waiting for 2 hours, me and my group said **** it and went to Stereo...as soon as we got in, our friend calls us to say they started letting people in...

so we go back...nobody checked for our tickets...nothing...i barely got searched...it was all very sketch

but this party turned out to be INNNSANNEE oh my goddd...my 4th bal en blanc and BY FAR...the best one ...period.

i just COULD NOT stop dancing! Sultan, Ali and Sharam played crazy sets!! Ali played quite a few tracks from his Taipei

I only went into the trance room to catch some Preach...he was rocking it with wiktor WWWOooooooo! Nice to meet you Selma and Fayraree!!! I got just in time for Smack my Bitch Up!! i llooooove hearing that track! so nice to see u again philippe!!

anyways the people I was with really made my night

good job Bal...but please dont ever make me wait like that again!!! not cool...so many people were badtripping in line as teh sun was rising...omg what a horrible feeling that must have been!!

and hello toal the TA's I saw..I cant wait to see the pictures

oh and thanks Louis!! even though I didnt end up using it in teh end...

So here's my take at it :

arrived at 12:00, so don't know about Wizz set (how was it ?)
stayed in Trance room all night...

Sander : WOWWWW !!! Very nice ! 1st time I heard him, but won't be the last. Pretty hard stuff, nicely executed.

Second sun : isshhhh... nope.

Armin : well, found it to slow... went harder a bit after 2 hours, but a bit too much ups and down in the set to my taste... BUT he did finished with "For an Angel", and since i'm a PvD fan, I got a moment #1 there :)

Above & Beyond : Oh yeahh !! chill, but sooo good ! I sent a message on above & beyond web site to request "No one on earth"; the guy replied and they PLAYED it !! wouhoouuuu I picked a track a Beb !
Bertuzz : you owe me No one on earth :) So definitely my moment #2 there !

Preach : nice, stayed for 1st hour of his set but then I was done...

Organisation : speaker was bad at the beginning... glitches... I found the deco a bit poor, and the lightning (white), well, too much white :) And yep, one of my friend did had to wait for 3 hours to get in... seen better from BeB...

But in the end, having fun with friends is all that matters.

Well, that might be it for me... after 7 years of raving; that was my finale (well, I think so !)... keep it on guys, i'll miss it :)

so Above and Beyond totally destroyed the place with a 2 hour bag of goodies such as air for life :eyespop: (opening track), no one on earth (top moment of the show for me!!), can't sleep (not sure if a remix or OG but it was very dancable either way), alone tonight, andain - beautiful things, ferry - beautiful, and many more..

only thing i was sorta missing was a whiteroom track :x

preach began with broken inside + he played a interesting dark/techy mix of dance4life that gave it a different feel

possibly a dj review later

liked: dubfire, sander van doorn, above and beyond, wizz, 15 mins of rauhofer

disliked: house room minus dubfire, that room went nowhere seriously.

Too bad for those who wanted to come in Bal en Blanc so late, why come at 4am!?

At every Bal en Blanc there's people who leave the party earlier which leaves capacity for more people to come in. But this year was special, no one was leaving, leaving hundreds waiting for hours which has never happened in previous years.

What will Bal en Blanc do? open a third room? more capacity?

maybe your right.. but I could of sworn I heard vocals from that guy from faithless over a really dirty/techy/preachy track
EvilTree
So A+B played their typical cheese tracks?

Bleh

that guy
i agree that 4AM is kind of late but this shouldn't even be an issue in the first place. according to the LCN link, no one was leaving and the turnover of ppl was ed up...so continue a policy of overselling and hoping ppl leave? that's retarded...not to mention greedy. according to "marie eve" at the gates, the new fire marshall wasn't letting anyone in to "make a point" (taken verbatim). which story is it? i realize all this is possible but i think a single coherent story from the organizers is in order, at the very least to squash the rumors going on in the line. for 100 bucks a ticket, i can come any time i damn well please.

it was nice to see someone with a video camera coming out to film the disaster of a line going on downstairs which i found highly irritating (if you're editing it, i'm the guy giving you the finger :D). anyway, it could have been worse; i could have been tripping balls waiting in line watching the sun come up like most other ppl or been that guy who took his BeB costume way too seriously (if i planned to attend this event over a year ago and been denied entry, i'd have burned the sucker down). anyway, i def agree that house room was going nowhere, the tech room lit it up. all the energy was in there.
