I don't think either of them have played D on PP (national or NHL), at least not to my recollection. My post was just a 'if I was coach' type of thing. IMO both are 'pure' centers, and therefor not suitable to play wing, I'm sure you understand what I mean.
Put it this way, if you had them on your team, how would you position them?
I'd probably put Saku as center and have Mikko play wing. Because Mikko is a slightly better skater.
Bottom line, trying to fit them in the same line feels like masturbating with a cheese-shredder.. Slightly amusing, but mostly painful.

uh it wasn't his fault that glen sather compiled an entire team of third liners. their defense and goaltending is fine. their offense gets more than enough chances. the problem is that you have gomez, drury, naslund, etc who are either were never first line guys or were for a few seasons but aren't anymore. zherdev is the only player on the entire team that would even sniff a first line on any other team in the nhl. you compile a team like that and i don't care who you are, you aren't going to win because you can't win in the nhl scoring 1 goal a game. only recently have the rangers had a few games wehre they gave up a lot, but that's due to the immense pressure collapsing the rest of the team due to 3rd liners who can't put the puck in the net. the real person who should be fired and never allowed to be in hockey anymore is glen sather. due to being a stupid ing jew, instead of giving money to players that deserved it, he went back to the old style of overpaid scrub reject overrated pieces of . unlike the late 90s post richter injuries, they actually have a goalie so it doesn't look that bad, but if they were still throwing mike dunham out there, it would be late 90's all over again. renney is a good coach and if he ever plays for a team that is actually dedicated to keeping talent, he will win a stanley cup.
hey look, dolan won't fire another useless executive in his building! (glen sather)

I never said the team didnt suck either... but obviously something went wrong from the beginning of the season, the kids got cocky with the hot start, and he couldnt keep the discipline.
Drury and Zherdev are the only guys I actually like from the team, Prucha isnt bad either when he gets time (Sjostrum I like too, and unfortunately for the Rangers, Cherepanov had passed). Gomez is a fag that gets on the ice whenever he wants. Voros is a waste of a big body. Naslund is an old that cant hack it anymore on the main line, once a sniper, now a passer. The biggest mistake they made was to not get Jagr back, he would be ALOT better then Naslund.

It's almost a consensus that Rangers are suffering from poor choices made by the GM and not the coach. Huge contracts for players that are not really panning out. Torts is not a defensive specialist either.
Will be interesting to see if they they can beat Leafs this time.
elFreak, excited about the tonight's game? :P
elFreak
Tangay may not be in the lineup tonight, so a little less excited, but the habs seem to be picking up their offensive game and will make Luongo look stupid in a 6 to 4 win.
:p

redden was only a bad signing considering they could have had better d the year before, but he is not a 'lemon'. his stats are bad because he hasn't played as well as he is capable, but also because he plays on a team that can't score and has no powerplay. the worst signings for the rangers have been by far naslund, drury, and gomez. if the rangers had a first line or even a second line then redden would probably be around even. i've seen at least 4 times where the rangers get scored on when redden is out because they are scrambling for a goal with a few minutes left and he is there forechecking. becasue the offense is so inept, the stats of both the defense and goaltending are distorted because of added pressure and responsibility.

This has been our topic for the past week or so:
Clean hit imo. No penalty was called, but after their coach cried and cried the guy who checked got a 1 game suspension.
Does this happen over there (getting penalized for the consequence, not the action)?
That guy who's lying there twitching got a bruise in his brain(!) and that pretty face got broken in 5 different places.
Discuss.. And don't forget to keep your head up. :thepirate

in the NHL?? If the refree didn't see it, then nothing will be called even if heads are rolling...

And that's exactly the way it should be. Over here it doesn't matter if the hit is clean or not, if someone gets injured it automatically results in a suspension.
Take this bodycheck for example, the referee is standing right there, immediately shows that it was a clean hit, game on.
But all their coach had to do was whine, and voilá, suspension.
It's pretty ing amusing to read an article where the leagues disciplinary umm.. chief says: "After reviewing the video several times it lead me to the conclusion that it was infact, a clean hit, so he will serve a one game suspension"
I fu***ng hate this league, if we have a fight there's going to be a 1-3 game suspension. NHL gives both parties a 5min major and that's it.
