bruins in 5 - won't be a sweep like you said, but bos still dominates this matchup
devils in 6 - carolina has been hot lately so give them 2 games, but no more than that
rangers in 6 - win 1 in was and the rest at home. different ranger team that is hot
penguins in 6 - depends on the refs really, but philly goaltending is too questionable. if the physical play heats up you can count on tons of powerplays for cindy and ivanna which is the only way they win.

anaheim in 7 - like you said(as far as games) i think that anaheim is a bad matchup for san jose because they play a very physical style plus they've been pretty hot lately
detroit in ?? - i think they will win due to experience and it could be either a beating if the cbjs get nervous or it could be a 7 game series. depends on goaltending for both teams: will mason continue being the awesome goalie or will he fold in the playoffs. will osgood suddenly become awesome like last year?? hard to say so hard to pick :D
canucks in 5 - luongo and i believe they will be able to score more than in past years. blues have been hot, but i don't think they have much of a chance in this one.
hawks in 5 - flames are a terrible road team that had trouble scoring to finish the season. hawks look determined and khabibulin is on fire. |

capitals in 6 ~no way to stop ovechkin on a better team this year
devils in 7 ~good matchup, brodeur manages to settle things down while parise,zajac,langenbrunner does its thing
flyers in 6 ~like the depth here, lots of goal scorers and grit
sharks in 6 ~don't expect a shark choke, or?? hmm
wings in 5 ~well jackets, i hope you Really enjoy the first week of the playoffs as it looks like an early exit for you
canucks in 6 ~ blues, another good story but an early exit as well
hawks in 7 ~ Will the stache prevail?! i believe q's hawks are movin on
favorite first round series ~flyers pens~ goals + bodies and teeth flying for 6 games = win

washington in 4 > rangers suck
pittsburg in 6 > flyers suck
carolina in 7 > brodure will probably start slow, and it'll be too late by the time he gets back to his game.

detroit in 5 > bluejackets play off experience = 0, but osgood might lose a game or mason might steal one.

i'm not upset about this season. we exceeded expectations and we got a good draft pick.
i'm just glad that our gm isn't paying somebody like gomez 7 million a year to do nothing. so after the rangers lose to the caps, what will that leave you with? 16th pick over all? neat. |

Watched the rangers vs caps game mostly. If Theo does not suck so bad, Caps win it easy. I have to give the rangers credit though, they stuck around and did what it took to to take a road game. If's don't win games, the score at the end of the game does.
Pittsburgh showed me exactly what i thought would happen. Pens are more skilled, end of story.
If Carolina plays like this, it will be a sweep. They are a better team then what they showed on the ice, but if you take one minute off against the devils, you are going to pay.
The blues are sticking around, lets hope then can even it up.:)
Redden still sucks sean, but i can never disagree with maple leaf bashing. |
