Guerin will help Pittsburgh, but I don't know if the mess in New York will be solved this season.

WTF Gainey

eh not sure he'll do too much but on the other hand he might provide some leadership to the team especially since he's been around a while and has experience not only winning the cup but legitimately contending for it when he was in dallas.

are you high? because the only way that comment makes sense is if you are not in a normal state of mind. its not like you got ovechkin malkin and crosby all at once. rangers are barely in the playoffs right now, hopefully they make the playoffs for the third consecutive year but don't start talking lord stanley until you have legitimate reason to. i don't know i have a sneaky suspecion don maloney in phoenix is up to something especially since he was the assistant gm with the rangers and probably had something to do with scouting some of those guys. personally i'm sad to see prucha go, i liked him.

FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR******* and coming from an avs fan who just watched their team get raped in the ing ass and on, i wouldn't talk about knowing hockey. The facts are that the Rangers offense just got a lot better now that THERE IS A TANDEM UP FRONT WHO ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO PLAY! Antropov and Zherdev are going to tear it up. Avery, Drury, Gomez, and Naslund - something will click there and oh yeah they got rid of Kalinin who sucked balls worse than the other defensemen and replaced him with Morris. The Rangers are in 7th place and they are bottom three in scoring. These trades will work out, the Rangers will score, and they will dominate. Just be lucky they made these trades now instead of a week ago or they'd still be scraping the avs off the ice HAHAHAHAHA

the difference between me and you is that i'm not delusional. i know the avs are bad. every team goes through a period like this, it's to be expected. can't say i'm happy but i'm realistic. this is the thing i hate most about rangers fans, they all think they know but they don't. that and the fact they act like 1994 was yesterday but it has been 15 years. in that time my team has won 2 stanley cups and overall been a consistent club which isn't something i can say about the rangers. to take it further new jersey has won 3 cups and made it to four stanley cup finals. rangers aren't the big dogs in the atlantic division.

as for knowing hockey you don't know me so think whatever doesn't bother me. i was just pointing out that you can't talk stanley cup with a trade like that. i remember years ago when the avs got kariya and selanne which at that time was a bigger deal than this by a LOT. i remember thinking we are just going to cruise through the season and dominate but that didn't happen. things have to click and right now there is something going on in that locker room that needs to change and adding two guys might not be the solution. lundqvist is a great goalie but they have to score goals, no denying they were the hottest team in the league during the first month or two of the season but since then things have gone downhill particularly lately.

we can discuss the rangers and stanley cup in the same sentence once they deserve mentioning.

Oh and I just want to add that Prucha and Dawes both suck and had it not been for Jagr, Prucha would probably not be in the NHL. He got the reputation as a "scorer" when he was nothing more than a receiver of scoring chance after scoring chance from what shouldve been the MVP. Anyway, let's look at the last trade between the coyotes and the rangers. I believe it was Hossa for Sjostrom. LOLOLOLLhHAAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

HOW DID THAT WORK OUT IDIOT?
