So true. If a guy (or an ugly girl) had said that same stuff, the pile-on would have been a lot worse.

she may be hot, but I don't think she is racist.

I would say that yes her views appear extreme but I really do not think she has actually really thought about what she is saying before hitting the post button.

This may come from ignorance. In any case, I have never, EVER liked dealing with the government for anything. I hate going to the DMV and having to deal with the inane bull they do there. I detest having to file taxes. I hate, loathe, and abhor with vehement passion the bureaucracy that government wades in. And now we're getting the people who can barely run a DMV in control of my health care? I'd rather not. Again, I do claim partial ignorance, but on the whole I think it's a terrible and treacherous idea.

This is a fundamental difference of opinion, but I feel keeping companies on our soil creating jobs for Americans (by decreasing their taxes and preventing them from moving overseas) would be far more beneficial to our economy than the $500 I'm going to get from Obama after he raises my taxes for health care and all the other government programs he wants to dole out.

I didn't know you made over 250k a year. Drinks on Demoted!

Wouldn't that be considered mindless banter? And wouldn't that result in a ban of some sort. I don't want Mel banned, obviously, just asking.

Corporations have already been benefitting from lower taxes under the last 8 years of Bush, and that has done fckall to keep jobs here. My buddy (project manager @ Motorola) has been through years of layoffs, firing half his team at a time just to have it replaced with overseas help.

Point is, there is NO way we can ever cut corporate taxes enough to compete with dirt-cheap overseas labor.

+1

outsourcing to India in the customer service side of things has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with Americans not being willing to work as cheaply as them.

I certainly don't want to raise the taxes though. There needs to be a balance of benefits for companies who keep jobs on American soil as well as the tax ratio.
