Tax reduction to the middle class sounds good and all, but how does it affect the corporation itself and it's employees with the increased tax hikes? |
exactly. those costs get passed on to the consumer, and businesses will tighten up and cut jobs if they are squeezed. They are in business to make a profit, not be a charity. |

yeah, its much better for a country to have its money in the hands of shareholders rather than the average citizens ;)
you have just gone through an epic example of major corporations playing a demonstrably large part in screwing your country, and here you are crying 'poor corporations'? :conf: |

There is 0 evidence of that.
Businesses are already cutting jobs at an alarming rate with the Bush/McCain tax plan.
Obama will offer tax breaks to businesses that keep jobs in the US instead of shipping them overseas.
People are fed up with Corporate America, it shows given their reaction to the whole mess on Wall Street, the next President needs to both punish them and reward them based on the circumstances.
ing billionaires need to be on leashes, and with leading corporations like GOOGLE sponsoring Obama, how can you even begin to think Obama is bad for business? |

Last time I checked, my company AT&T wasn't responsible for anything detrimental to the country. I'm not saying this tax hike is going to big corporations over, but I'm not going to bear responsibility just for working for a large corporation by having my job in jeopardy just because several investment/banking firms ed over the economy. |

How do you feel about 'socialised' health care, out of curiosity? |

well, if you think that your own personal interests are more important than the interests of your country then that's fine.
but in the overall scheme of things, your job isn't very important to the rest of us. |

Dumbass.
He's a democrat, therefore he will practice protectionism, something your country desperately needs after being taken advantage of by foreign business for the past 8 years.
He will insure millions more Americans who have no health care, an issue Bush simply completely ignored during his presidency.
His tax plan will grant the average family a bigger tax break than Bush or McCain and he will tax the huge corporations to the same level as under Bill Clinton. (Remember? Clinton? The guy who actually had the whole thing working?)
He has vowed not to use the military as a FIRST RESORT to "threats" abroad, and to restore America's tarnished reputation amongst the international community.
Not to mention his plans to create a whole new energy sector, with new jobs that cant be shipped over to the Chinese, whereas McCain will just DRILL BABY DRILL until he realized a nation cant sustain itself by such insufficient means for any length of time whatsoever. |
I'm astounded that you've made such a good post :p nicely put!
McCain will bring on world war 3, he has as much tact as vivid in an ugly girl rating contest. |

True, but you don't think increased taxes can hinder a large corporation, already accumulating substantial amounts of debt due to operating expenses, from paying them off? This assuming the credit market is bad. If the credit market is bad, companies are going to have trouble burrowing money to pay off short-term debt. All of a sudden these additional tax increases come, making it all the harder to pay off debt. What's the easiest way to cut short-term losses? Layoffs. Not saying it's going to happen but it has me thinking. |

Oh great, so next time when I get laid off I shouldn't be sad or angry, I should be happy, because in the grand scheme of things, myself not having a job is in fact helping you out! Yeah dude, getting laid off is going to help the world. In fact that's what I'm gonna hope for.
Look, who isn't for making the world a better place. But when you're sitting there at the end of the day without a job, that's the last ing thing you're thinking about. |

My question is if everyone, rich, middle class, poor is going to have the same health care, what is the quality of the health care plan everyone will be recieving? Some people feel that if they can afford to get a better plan, then they should.
Just sayin, I haven't really explored this issue. |

look, i took the time to respond to you properly, if you don't have anything remotely interesting to say, annoy somebody else.
small businesses employ far more people than corporations so your job lost is made up somewhere else. of course i wouldnt try and tell you that you losing your job is good for you, that's silly. but why would you think that i care about your job versus any other american's job?
most of the time its the staff to go first so you should only be worried if youre . |

so you are unemployed and not voting? or are you just assuming this is your future?
either way, not making a choice isn't benefiting your own lot in life. i wouldn't worry about the AT&T *corporation* so much when you are so sure you will lose your job. its not very secure with either president, since AT&T is one of the slowest adapting behemoths in history| |
