Man, our financial system is horrible these days, almost mirroring the US.
CIBC just announced that their profits were only $436 Million this Quarter, and TD just announced that their revenue was down 7% to $1.01 Billion this quarter.
Man, our financial system is in shambles
I'd like to see the US banks post a net profit

I wasn't be literal. Yes, I know some of the US banks are in a decent situation as well (although not many).
Bank of America posted a $1.2 Billion net income as well.
All I was just trying to is that our big 5 Banks are no where near the states as in the US.
TD only had $350 million in Credit Loss. And this includes the Month of October which was hit pretty hard in the markets!
Look at Citi, they posted at $20 Billion Net Loss for the last year. Craziness.

what's funny is that there are people in here who even though claiming to know the political system here, keep spewing about how people voted for harper, how the coalition attempt is an attack on democracy... regardless of actually knowing the difference.
people who don't understand our system are stupid for the obvious reasons... but the people trying to perpetuate the myths and harvest the stupidity for their own gains, to me that is 10x worse.
I'm not a Dion or Layton fan by any means... Duceppe is his own brand of crazy... but what they are doing is allowed under this political system, is not treason/anti-democracy... you really need to stop trying to mislead the sheep with this bull.
Also, because it hasn't been said enough yet:
SOCIALISTS!!!
SEPARATISTS!!!
ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY!!! |
unfortunately, it appears the general public doesn't understand this either. Even in Harper's speech last night he made it sound like we, the people, voted for him to be PM and what the other parties are doing is wrong. |

Have you found Harper's comments having any affect on the provincial vote? |

Having decided that the Detroit Redwings technically won the 2008 Stanley Cup, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars have formed a coalition demanding a three way ownership of the league title. Rational for their decision revolves around their total combined scoring in the 2008 Semi-Finals, their total share of season ticket holders versus the Detroit Redwings and their horror at discovering the Detroit Redwings are using a more cost effective and efficient Silver polish to keep the Stanley Cup gleaming.
Fans and ticket holders are neither being asked or allowed a voice in the final decision.
(saw this on CBC.ca comments section, thought it was amusing) |
