Haven't had a chance to play with it that much at home - I finally got Vista x64 running stable and am not quite ready to mess with that yet - but I have seen it, very impressed with the level of fit and finish (they finally did away with those ugly old Windows 3.1 dialogs), and yes, it is fast, although I found Vista's performance to be much snappier than XP to begin with.
Will definitely be picking this up once it goes final.
I still think Flip3D is lame as hell though. :p |

| I'm very much interested in this. The little green dotted circle is just spinning 'round and 'round. Is it because it's busy? |

Installed it as my main OS, I love it the only problem I have with it is that UltraMon does not work like it does in Vista (the taskbar on the 2nd monitor is weird looking). I've also heard of some people having problems with Office 2007 crashing. I use it constantly and haven't had any problems, the media center is also very nice.
If I had one wish it would be for the taskbar to be extended to the second monitor and behave the same as it does on the first without the need for UltraMon.
edit: apply the latest windows updates so your mp3 files don't get corrupted in windows media player |

This is my main gripe as well. I can't get by without UltraMon anymore, it is the best piece of software ever made. |

any more info on running it from an SDHC card? i have a 16gb card laying around and want to try it.
But from that video its really similar to my vista x64, other than the few quircks in the taskbar, everything else is really the same. |

I was thinking about installing this ..but i have a few worries as i would be installing it through bootcamp on my beloved mac ...
so im assuming it would work on bootcamp .... but software wise.. is it compatible with mst new software ... im mainly worried about autocad 2008 and 2006 ... and rhino 4.0 |

| while it looks and works nice i'd recommend waiting until certain or most manufacturers release driver updates for their devices otherwise like in infinity high's case you will not get some of your devices working properly, only use it to test it out on a random pc until the final is out. |

On all the machines I've installed it on, EVERYTHING works right out of the box. Even random ty Bluetooth adapters work. I wouldn't be worried about drivers at all unless you're running, say, some Romanian NIC or something.
It's about damn time. If you do end up with driver issues, Vista drivers work perfectly well apparently.

Uninstall OS X and use this as your main OS. Heh.
Seriously though, don't be worried. I've got Autocad 2008 running in it perfectly well. Not sure about 2006 (why the hell do you use both?), and Rhino I don't know about either. If they will work in Vista, however, 99.9% chance they'll work fine in 7.
As a side note, while running it on my Mini 1000, I can totally notice the slowness of the 1.8" 4200rpm HDD. I am so friggin close to ordering a 32GB RunCore SSD... |
