RTM will be sometime between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. |

On all the machines I've installed it on, EVERYTHING works right out of the box. Even random ty Bluetooth adapters work. I wouldn't be worried about drivers at all unless you're running, say, some Romanian NIC or something.

i dunno, how about things like midi controllers, certain production hardware and sound/video cards. I'm quite sure the OS would need those drivers separately.. I've had an issue where my sound card would not work on xp sp3 because the drivers were specifically designed for xp sp 2, thank god the update came out 2 days later, i was planning on returning the item that same day. |

This is my main gripe as well. I can't get by without UltraMon anymore, it is the best piece of software ever made. |
It really is, over something so simple too, something that should have been there since Windows 98 |

If you use your machine for production of any sort, you'd be stupid to install this no matter how good I say it is anyway.
Discrete sound cards under Windows have been weird for a long time since nobody other than those producing or playing around with music has one. Even Creative's drivers are completely worthless.
If you have doubts, install it in a VM first. |

after using my M-audio trigger finger fine for about 10 months on Vista itself, all of a sudden the drivers started acting up and the midi controller becomes non responsive after a minute or so of using....
still gonna install this just for a few days to use cos im oh so curious...lol |

just installed it on a 20 gig filedump partition i had made a while back...didnt really want to be stuck with this if i didnt like it and was too lazy to format and go back to factory defaults...OS boot option ftw..
Kinda snazzy...so far just been playing around with the new features right out there...like it...
on a side note: i cant stand messenger 14....accidentally installed it while it was a beta release and hated it...ugh.. |

so im assuming it would work on bootcamp .... but software wise.. is it compatible with mst new software ... im mainly worried about autocad 2008 and 2006 ... and rhino 4.0 |
It's been tested and confirmed that it works flawlessly with VMware on the Mac.
They said it loads pretty much as fast as XP does and 10x faster than Vista on VM.
I'm thinking of installing this on my Mac as well...
Edit: Crap...its 3.15GB to download?

It's about damn time. If you do end up with driver issues, Vista drivers work perfectly well apparently.

| I'm still on XP Pro haha. However, my laptop is slowly dying and I was dreading going to Vista, but this seems like the solution to my problems! I just hope my old boy can hold out til Windows 7 has all the bugs worked out before I get it. |
