Are you saying "yes" you want to have children or "yes" to something someone else said?

lol @ men not knowing if they want kids or not even wanting them. like you're going to do even HALF the ing work in raising them.

I know exactly what it is like to raise a kid. My sister and I are the ones that were basically the parents for our younger siblings. Yes, I didn't have to deal with the spending money aspect, but I was well aware of it.

i was just joking and making a reference to the stereotypical male when it comes to having kids.

we're the ones who have to get up every hour in the night to breastfeed and we're the ones who generally have to feed them and do the laundry and bla bla bla.

going to work to provide for the family > staying home with an infant.

I judge women who don't breastfeed. :o

Ahh . I missed the sarcasm.

Even still, I don't want the wife to stay at home if we have kids. I want her to stay at home for maybe a year, but go back to work for sure. The kid will be in pre-school too when he is eligible.

yea i'm definitely going back to work when my kid is around 2 and can go to preschool. it teaches them social skills.

and i plan on breast feeding although i've heard horror stories about painfully sore breasts and the babies biting down on the nipple. my mom said the tears would pour out of her eyes when i did that lol

Ben, how many children were in your family? What were you? 2nd oldest?

That's because they aren't getting a proper latch. Breastfeeding should never be painful.

I spent a whole day with a lactation consultant during my OBS rotation. Was quite the experience.

I have 1 older half-sister and then 5 younger sisters. So yes, 2nd oldest.

Sometimes they just bite down too. Saw it happen many times when my egg donor would yell "ouch" when it happened.
