My mom and I were JUST talking about this today. She makes soups and stews and takes them over to our next-door-neighbours because they are a very old couple who always have food delivered. She's really big on home-made stuff and she misses her mother in Poland so this is her way of coping, I think.
Anyway she told me that today, she went over there to give them a pot of soup and their 400pound cow of a daughter was visiting and she and her obese children were sitting in their family room watching TV. I thought my mom's blood was going to boil over when she was telling me this. She can't believe that this couple's fat lazy middle-aged daughter won't cook a simple meal and bring it to her old parents who can't make food for themselves. |
