My god you're an idiot. Spam's claim is not only self-evident, but by asking for validation, you've just proven--without a doubt--that you have no idea what the you're talking about.
Stop embarrassing yourself discussion after discussion--you don't understand the formulation process that goes behind manufacturing a vaccine, you do no understand its genetic make-up and the implications which follow, and most importantly, you haven't the slightest clue about the effectiveness of a vaccine as contingent on a dozen different factors which vary from person to person. |
hahaha - Do u scan threads just to flame people? Grow up.

The spanish flu killed millions in 1918 partially because of sanitary living conditions in much of the world at the time including here.

Not to mention our primitive medicinal practices compared to now.
Like someone mentioned a few posts up: turn off the TV and this "outbreak" will grind to a halt. If some of you people are so worried then do us all a favour and lock yourselves away for a few months. |

I will be getting my H1N1 vaccine. It is the most prudent thing to do (along with getting a flu shot ever year).
Prudence pays big dividends. |

No, the most prudent thing to do is eat healthy, ensure you get a healthy dose of vitamin D in your system (the reason the fall/winter is flu season is because of less sunlight, thus less vitamin D), wash your hands before every meal, and perform 30 minutes of strenuous exercise every day. |

sooo the H1N1 vaccinations start on Nov.2 - they don't have same locations for regular flu shots? I can't find anything online
does it mean I get it through my doc? |

Actually, the advice is sound. You simply need to have a better understanding of how the human body functions, especially with relation to how it prepares and defends against foreign contaminants.
Firstly, a properly balanced diet of fresh foods, vegetables and MODERATE meat intake (we're talking 3-4 ounces at the most per serving) as well as proper trace element/mineral intake puts the body into it's slightly alkaline state; an environment where foreign invaders do not thrive well. What is the sickly western diet? Yeah - acidic as hell, and filled with everything BUT fresh, balanced diets.
Secondly, research is pointing towards vitamin d deficiency (something which is VERY common in our western culture, especially since the dawning of "sunscreen"). It's shortage has a major effect on sickness and overall well-being. In fact, it may effect major chronic disease of all sorts - including cancer (gee, funny eh - what's the rate here again? 1 in 3?) Do a bit of research about high dosage vitamin d treatment - your tune may change a bit ;)
There is nothing prudent about the flu shot. It's untested, unproven and profit motivated - do a simple bit of digging on where the money is funneling out to(Rumsfeld, crazy bit that eh?). Yikes. Gilead Sciences, a company for which he was chairman and holds major interest in, has the ONLY license for tamiflu - it's manufactured by Roche under patent license. Gee, funny how bush handed over hundreds of millions to em' eh?
Gee - looks clean as a whistle to me. I'd DEFINITELY trust that these guys have our best interests in mind; get that in ma belly nooooooooooow!

| Dude, I know, I've taken biology in university, and complimentary medicine books so chill... There's just too many wanna be holistic doctors here spewing irrelevant advice. Doing everything you mentionned will not prevent you from getting H1N1 if you come in close/positive contact with someone who does. Don't be an idiot. |

| I'm tempted to get it since I'm going to Cuba in February and don't want to get quarantined! But last year I got the flu shot and sworn off them until I'm old, b/c I was sicker than I'd ever been. It was the worst 2 weeks of my life. |

It's a virus.
You can build up your immune system, but once you've come in direct contact with it, you got it, and pray your efforts minimize its dammage. |
