I thought about that too - it is advised that if you display symptoms of illness, stay home; there are concerns about this flu being spread in high-volume public places such as the schools and the malls.. Doesn't it seem a little out of place then that people would gather up in such massive herds, waiting in crowded lines for hours just to get this vaccine, potentially increasing the risk of transmission?
How else would they make money though?

Very true. Although I make a point of washing my hands for longer now - I hum "happy birthday" in my head to make sure I am washing long enough for it to be worthwhile.

No one should take this vaccine (Swine Flu vaccine)-it is one of the most dangerous vaccines ever devised. The newsletter for August covers this and it may not be out yet. This virus H1N1 kills by causing a "cytokine storm", which means that it causes the body's immune system to overreact and that is why it is killing young people and is a mild disease in the elderly. (The elderly have weakened immune systems.) This vaccine is a very powerful immune stimulator and carries the real possibility of making the lethality of the virus much greater.
One's best protection is vitamin D3.. One should take 5000 IU a day now and when the disease begins to spread increase the dose to 15,000 IU a day. Vitamin D3 modulates the immune reaction, reducing the chance of an overreaction and stimulates the body to produce what are called antimicrobial peptides, which are powerful killers of viruses that does not involve immunity. This is dose related, which means the higher the dose of vitamin D3 the better the protection. Fish oils (the best is Carlson's Norwegian lemon flavored fish oil) also reduce immune overreaction. One teaspoon a day should be sufficient. For severe symptoms, one teaspoon twice a day. Antioxidants of various kinds also help-this includes, quercetin, curcumin, grape seed extract, vitamin C and natural vitamin E. A good multivitamin/mineral such as Extend Core (www.vrp.com <http://www.vrp.com/> ) is also essential.

Wow this thread has really started to freak me out.
I was considering the shot... but now :conf:
I think I rather risk getting the flu... The flu will just put me in bed for a few weeks. I am not going to die or have something horrible happen to me... Cant say the same for the shot.
Time to go buy some vitamin D

I'm pretty pissed off I can't get a regular seasonal shot now.. and by the way the nurse was talking to me on the phone it sounded that I can't even get one later, unless I get H1N1 now?! I'm way too confused about this
I've been munching on Vit C for a month now.. at least I get my D from tanning lol
and washing hands like crazy too!

something is fishy...and thats what ive been saying all along.
the scare mongering is working as usual. The sheep are standing in masses in the cold for hours. Why? because they want to PREVENT the flu. Id laugh if it wasnt so disgusting.

How else are they going to make money if they dont somehow force this on people? We arent to the point of communism (yet) where they can force everyone to take the shot. I think society needs just a little more conditioning for that to happen.
scare mongering seems to work pretty good though
