Armin just gave someone a roundtrip from Kazakhstan to LAX for a meet and greet with him, he also continues to promote ticket sales. Does he not know whats going on over here? Or better yet maybe he knows something we don't :)

The drama is more exciting than the event at this point.

i know someone in LA and her friend promotes for GV and he said yesterday things are good, no reason to lie to her. and this came to me right before GV made their announcement above me. So who knows. Im sure we 'll hear something from armin on ASOT tomorrow.
I seriously doubt if something bad is going on even the whole team knows. If I was Reza, if I'm not going to tell the public I'm going to keep what's going on as close to my chest as possible. I def wouldn't tell any of my street team. I'd just act like things are going good just so there's not even more negativity created -- maybe this is what's going on and why a couple GV people are so agressive about it all. Their aggressiveness alone is making them look bad -- even if the people being agressive are right in the end. Doesn't mean it's OK to just talk to people who are upset. Everyone should be upset right now.
WIth their latest statement: sounds like they finally used someone who knows how to write. That said, they are just repeating what they said last week. Just being nice now, which I am sure will sucker some people to being satisfied for the time being even though GV hasn't said anything different.

in other words, we sold tickets to an event without a set venue and now were scrambling to lock in the venue that we originally promisied.
and James Events knows this and that there are no other venues they can go to so GV better pay $$$$$$$$$$$ to have the party at their venue!

Why would anyone still want to go at this point?

Special circumstances? Like did they file charges and all that? After that point, it is public info I'd imagine since court docs are unless ordered to be private by a judge.
When I took management training it was def mentioned discussing what happened with former employees was a big no-no, especially after a person was terminated. There are very, very specific laws as to what a employer can say about a former employee. The basic thing a former employer is able to say is whether a person worked there before or not; not much else. It's why employers ask for referrals for serious positions, both professional and personal. People you refer are free to say what they want.
Absolutely right - I am an employer, and you can't say anything about current or previous employees without getting yourself in serious legal trouble. Even if you fire someone, you're not allowed to openly discuss anything about that employee or their performance apart from to confirm that they worked for you.
You can essentially "get away" with discussing things if you have filed charges and what you discuss is in the scope of publicly recorded court documents, but even then, you can't say anything derogatory about that person, just the facts of what they did. And then even then, if the charges don't stick against that person, they can sue you for the false remarks that you made that damaged their reputation.
GV need to get better legal council. If I was Melrose, right now I'd be serving them until they choked.

Didn't James Events say they won't be entering into any agreement with MM either?

Didn't even think about this. JEP could totally just rip GV off right now and charge insane fees. What is GV gonna do at this point? Say no?

exactly.
though we don't know what kind of deal was originally offered. Maybe GV thought the original price was too high so they looked elsewhere such as Lake Elsinore... when that fell through they were back to Oak Canyon. If you owned the venue wouldn't you try and maximize your rental fee? Sounds like business 101 to me :)
