perfection!

id love to stay at an spg bc i have points hahahahah but raddisson will do

The raddisson is right across the street from USC. Tends to be very expensive.

Sometimes the nicer hotels downtown are actually cheaper, and it's about 2 miles down the road (fine to walk during the day), a few min by cab for a few bux

That said, I would suggest the raddisson for ease. There is a chipotle, quiznos, coffe bean & tea leaf, and some other places about a block down from the raddisson.

The area is very safe despite what TA's will tell you. USC's DPS patrols a very large area very frequently, and LAPD patrols Figueroa like there's no tomorrow...

Have they really cleaned up the overcrowding? Did they really stop selling 200% of capacity? I might actually go if that is the case... MM was my first electronic festival wayyy back when... then it got ridiculous a year or two later and it wasnt worth going.

Jon:
Last years monster was beyond epic because they had just inacted the 18+ and defintly enforced it. The crowd was like 15k at most. Finally everyone had plenty of room to dance and wasn't crowded at all. Hope it is like that again this year.
DjWoody
Last year was EPIC!!! Not crowded at all. My favorite massive by far!
drEamer
but it looks like the radisson has no rooms?
jdub889
usc houses freshmen in the radisson, so it frequently has no rooms, and if it does they're frequently overpriced. stay downtown and take a cab or try your luck with one of the motels up fig a ways, but they're pretty ty...

ohhhhhh thanks for all the info...damns on the raddisson i totally would have spent the extra bucks to gaurentee ease and comfort.

and now im hungry- quiznos hahahahaha

hmmmm......so im going to go on a limb here and list the hotels i found at reasonable prices (100-250 a night) im basing this off of a search of the LA Sports Areas address

Hopefully this will help others (and hopefully if you guys see one that SUCKS you can tell me and ill remove from the "options" list hehhe)

____ok i wrote the above and then did the research...DAMNS everything is either booked or seems super sketch

Radisson- i called to double check in hopes that id get luckuy- NOPE
Vagabond Inn- No Vacancy
Little Ceasars Motel- looks crazy to me

I found the following SPG's though:

Westin Bonaventure hotel & suites: 404 S Figueroa St (4.4 miles) $219/night

Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown: 711 South Hope Street (3.8 miles) $219/night

I think im going to go with the Bonaventure unless anyone has a horror story or better recommendation....
drEamer
looks like on travelocity, that bonaventure is 179 a night......ive stayed at the ramada la convention, and the rodeway across the street....not great places by any means, but all u gonna do it sleep right?

modthispny
you can't go wrong with the westin or sheraton.

EDC last year was amazing.

However so far ULTRA in Miami this year has been my favorite massive.
