When I was in Amsterdam it was amazing...every store was playing house, trance, I heard Traffic commming out of several places, in bars you hear EDM...it's everywhere...hardly any hip hop. On TV they've got EDM channels that play videos of dance music all day and night...to me it was so amazing it's like being where i should be ;) I absolutely loved the fact that most people were so into it there...On the tram (streetcar) to Innercity i remember everyone was so hyped up the driver was totally into it too...he was playing with the lights in the car yelling stuff in the mic...then someone pulls out a boombox and plays Traffic all through the streetcar and people go crazy...it was quite magical ;)...no hiphoppers which is just so NA culture... |

i dunno man....ive heard otherwise....even my sister who was tehre recently (amsterdam being one of the places) said she was hoping to hear electronica but only heard hiphop and pop |

That's very odd...I know hip hop is slowly growing there, and it's growing even faster in the UK...and pop...well yes of course pop is huge everywhere in Europe, but EDM was everywhere when I was there :). They have these little shopping streets in Amsterdam and most stores and bars on these streets had some cool music playing :) |

main room does not have the capacity to hold that many ppl, (not a probem on regular saturday nights but) at a big event like last Saturday.

doesn't it make sense to put sasha (who's more popular) in the bigger venue?
if the guv complex didn't have KH (aka wharehouse , god knows how much they spent renovating that) then it would be justified to say: "well, like it or not that's at good at it gets, stay home, blah blah blah" but they CAN and they DON'T.:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
why on earth they don't use KH anymore for big names like Sasha, etc?

edit: i even remember seeing underworld on a wednesday in KH ,compare that to PVD/Tiestio this yeah @ the main room.

Nice try to tie in your favourite issue, but I'm sorry, Charles has been putting headliners in the Guvernment long before the smoking by-law was in effect. :rolleyes:
And even if this was the case, you're telling me, that with all the money the Guvernment makes packing us in like a heard of animals, that they don't have enough money to put a smoking area adjascent to the Kool Haus? Unlikely. |

| You know alot of you are saying this should be in the KH and that should be in the KH...but the last few events that I've attended in the KH - last of which was Global Gathering, the KH was fairly empty, most definitely not up to it's full capacity - not even close I think...so maybe they just don't know and don't want to take the risk of losing $$ so they make the event in the main room...:conf: |
