If that's my only chance to see Ferry, Tiesto, PVD and etc then I'm personally willing to go through the experience and have a good time ;) |

Well I realised that the only two times I really had a blast in Guv was once on a regular night with Mark O. and the other time at a russian party on Christmass. I've seen Armin, Ferry, PVD, Tiesto and many other good djs in Guv and I never had a great time ! Why? Simply - waaaaay too many people, no room to dance and ty sound.
I went to Kool House last saturday and had AMAZING time there. Not packed at all (it never gets over packed), great sound, great lights, and amazing music! KH owns Guv big time. Seems like from now on special events in Guv's main room will be a no no for me... |

We were forming a circle, because we were the only ones who actually wanted to dance in the area we were at. And even with that we still had people slamming into us, little sketched out asian broads looking like they just saw the devil...and then of course the boyfriend looking for the possessed one with a look in his eye as if he had died and gone to hell. |

Man, the only spot you can find a place to dance in the guv main room on a night like that is on one of those elevated stages which their go-go dancers use. The only drawback to those is you'll always seem to attract 'unwanted' attention.
As for forming circles --> It's not that people are snobby or anti-social, it's just that people like us on this thread go to a club to dance, not act lost and wander aimlessly whilst high shouldering other people while you walk with no destination. I have no problem with people who come up to me and talk to me, but I do have a problem who continuually disrupt my dancing.
I swear, none of these anti-guv threads would exsist if they only stopped the club from getting that rammed, or put the bigger events in the kool haus. |

Jay, I don't know how much time u spent on the dance floor Sat nite- I saw u on the patio just as I was leaving, as were you. But Guv was simply overpacked that night. I put up with it at Tiesto, but I had no desire to do so Sat. nite. I made a point to go up to the head bouncer & manager and let them know WHY I was leaving.
Maybe management should come down from their perch in the booth or the landing of the stairs, spend some time on the dancefloor & see how long they last.
I'm not saying this happens all the time, but its a given that the Guv is filled every Sat. night even without a major headliner. When u put someone of Sasha's caliber in there, and u don't stick to fire code regulations, its bound to be a sardine can. To deny that it was packed is retarded. |
