i was there... guv was not over packed... If you want a club with nobody in it then you are going to complain that its "dead" and complain further when you have to pay more to get in.

Teneglia could have been "perfect" but it was also 75-100 to get in depending on when u got there. And i heard A LOT of people bitching about the price.
nadezhda
if that wasn't overpacked, then i truly shudder to think at what overpacked is.

i ing hope that the next dj that i want to see in that complex is in daskoolhaus.
Jayx1
Guv isnt for everyone of course..

but what amazes me is how the same people keep going and then make the same responses. Like ...give it up already... it makes you look stupid. If you dont like it dont go... for the rest who do... great! If you like Boa better than great im sure its a great club (ive been meaning to check it out myself) but dont keep going and then wasting bandwidth on here every single time.
nadezhda
you know what? i can complain if i feel like it.

i don't experience that anywhere else in this city, which is the reason that i do NOT go to guv unless there is a dj that i really want to see, which basically happens twice a year. i don't have a choice if i want to see a particular dj.

Ok, so your saying its normal to be at a party where you are literally standing chest to chest with the people around you?? Obviously towards the end of the night it gets better, but at peak hours it was unbareable. Lowering capacity wouldnt be considered "dead" either. It would simply give people room to dance and a chance to enjoy themselves. And ive said it many times, id much rather pay $30 for an event like lastnight if it:

a.) Keeps the club under the capacity limit
b.) Detours the sketch crowd from special event nights

The ticket price for Danny T when they first came out was $50. Because of the higher ticket price the quality of the crowd was out of this world. Everyone was there for the music, the vibe, and of course to dance their asses off to one of the best sets this city has ever heard. Id like you to ask people who went to this party and ask them if theyre still bitching about the cover. I know if Danny comes back to Boa and tickets are $100......ill still go.

I dance well --> I hate having a following of cracked out people asking me to give them 'lightshows' all night long --> I get followings of cracked out people at the guv --> I avoid the guv at as much as possible --> I go to system and boa to dance --> I don't get cracked out people following me anymore

From start to finish my night was terrible. It was impossible to actually really try to listen to a set. You could tell Sasha hates the Guvernment but the money is just too good I guess. Oh ya...where was the much talked about limited capacity? Surprise suprise more lies. Anybody involved with this club in any way should be ashamed. We deserve better than the pure greed Guvernment shows. I felt like slapping Charles when he past me with his smug look of satisfaction on his face.

well... I am seriously turned off from ever going to guv

maybe we should start writing letters to big DJs asking them to avoid Guv because of the way they cheat their customers.

As I've said before, I've only been to the Guv twice and I am NOT impressed.

I saw some guy sit on the bar on the patio (which you're not supposed to do), and a bouncer got right in his face and screamed , "WHAT THE ARE YOU DOING SITTING ON THE BAR?!?! DON'T DO THAT !!!" Ummm, hello? This guy is paying your ing salary .

The Guvernment seems to forget that we are customers and that we deserve to be shown respect.

And don't give me this bull like, "If you don't like it don't go. It wasn't packed" blah blah blah. It was overpacked, and just because the Guv can still sell out the place while still treating the customers like , doesn't mean it's right.

I will not be going to Guvernment unless I absolutely have to in order to see a deejay that I like (like last night).

I was just talking to Aaron about this today. All the guys were discussing how bad it was, and how we'd never go there again, but just imagine being a girl! Not only do you have to deal with all that bull, but you also have to deal with random guys coming up and groping you ever few minutes.

I don't know how you girls manage to have a good time, but you get a lot of respect for coming out!
