The simple answer is that they aren't.
They may have a high standard of living, but that is no indicator of productivity or economy in general. Make no mistake, a nationwide European lifestyle is a drain on resources - they are only able to keep it up because their countries had such huge amounts to invest in it.
You can live a relaxed lifestyle here too if you have a lot of personal funds to invest in it. Which usually means going to the USA, making a lot of money, and coming back to enjoy the social net. |

i shoulda just kept my mouth shut about this, becasue instead of this being a discussion of ppl who are clean in clubs and on drugs, its become an argument over the experiences i have and that you have opposed to ppl in general.
the reason i also started harshly was because i have had first hand expience as most of the ppl i used to hang around did E, and i don't talk to any of them anymore, (for numerous reasons, but being clean around ppl on E isn't fun when you have to take care of them) and yes, they did fall around like idiots (or like the stereotype of the drug, they danced like it would be the last time in there life they would ever dance, and fall over ppl thinking they were there best friend, and as a result, they'd have a massive low afterwards. The thing is i can't comment on everyone, but i've seen ppl taking pills at clubs with similar reactions and if you don't then good for you. Like i said, my biggest beef is just how it gives the electronic music scene a bad name. personally i don't care if you do it, you have the choice to do whatever you want.
and no, i'm not a recovering alcoholic, i just drank a lot in high school because i partyed a lot. its not like i'm in an aa program. |

Ephedrine can be found in many anti-histamines (Benadryl, Sudafed) and diet supplements. This drug has two important properties for the above applications:
1) It is a decongestant, it loosens bronchial muscles thus is useful for those who suffer allergies. In fact, the bottle I have at home is specifically for asthma.
2) Ephedrine is also a stimulant, and as with other drugs of this nature, is an appetite suppresant.
As far as I know, Ephedrine is illegal in the US however is legal to be sold WITHOUT a prescription in Canada. However, to obtain ephedrine in "pure form" and not in diet pills or antihistamines, it cannot be put on display and must be "behind the counter". Also, when it is sold, you are suppose to surrender your name and information since ephedrine is addictive and there exists a potential for abuse.
Any health food store should have what you're looking for. Commonly, it is labelled Ephedrine Hydrochloride (or Hypochlorite, I don't remember) and is in doses of 25mg. The directions are NOT to exceed half a pill every 8 hours.
I believe the one I have was 100 pills for $25.
A little background on Ephedrine: it has been used by the Chinese for roughly 2500 years as a decongestant and ashmatic relief agent and is derived from the ephedra plant.

You're pretty condescending and judgemental for someone who a/ doesn't care what anyone does and b/ has never tried it before so has absolutely no personal experience to contribute to this discussion. |

The legal dosage per pill was cut down to 8 mg a couple of years ago. I don't think you can buy 25mg pills anymore. |

Melatonin? I have some at home. I don't know where my mom gets it but I doubt she obtains it illegally?
I hope everyone knows what melatonin is... It's a hormone found in your brain that controls your sleep. In pill form, it is derived from cow brains <--- no kidding :nervous: And since it's part of the CNS (central nervous system), there is the risk of contracting the human form of "mad-cow disease" (BSE).
This isn't meant to scare anyone and NO, these pills are not evil. |

I have to agree with Skipper, djbuuren. It's good you go to the clubs clean and go for the DJ but unfortunately, not every patron goes for the same reason.
I feel it's more of something you just have to accept, whether you like it or not. I'm not trying to strike you down in any way but the way I see things, if something bothers you that much, may be it's best to minimize your exposure to it?
But like I said before, you opinion is completely valid and sometimes I feel the same way about all the drugged out people I see in the Guv, but it's just the way the EDM scene is nowadays. |

It's 8 mg per dose or 32 mg per day; I think they can get around that requirement simply by making the dose lower (i.e. half a pill or less), as long as the total dosage*frequency doesn't exceed the daily limit.
Maybe I'm wrong though. I haven't really tried to pick up one of these bottles.
As for clubs and drugs, drunks have always bothered me more than druggies. Who can honestly say that they haven't been pissed off at least once by somebody who was totally trashed? |

wow, i can't say anything right on this topic without jusifying everything i say.
1. i know i'm contradicting myself because i started off ranting about the drug, but realistically, i don't know you or most of the ppl on these boards, and you have your own choices to make and you're responsible for yourself.
2. i have tried it once in my life (because in grade 11 i didn't care and was stupid) but got nothing out of it really, my memory is blurred from that experience, but its not something i wished to continue doing
3. personal experience i think also includes having a group of friends who did it almost everytime at a club i would think? |

You got nothing out of it other than blurred memory? I don't think memory loss is something MDMA causes except in "chronic" doses.
Are you sure what you got was actually MDMA (or MDA or MDE), and not some piece of like DXM or caffeine perhaps? |
