I don't think it's specifically the club atmosphere, you just aren't "in the mood".
Think of what it's like in the first 10 minutes just after you've "finished up". It's a little (I emphasize little) bit like that. Sure, it's not IMPOSSIBLE to get yourself going (again), but it's not that easy. It's easier to wait until you've "recovered", which in this case is when the effects of the drug are starting wear off. |

Fact: ANYONE KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY DOING THIS TO THEMSELVES DOES NOT HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR THEIR BODY. TAKING E IS THE SAME THING INTERNALLY AS SAY, FOR EXAMPLE, CUTTING A PIECE OF MY SKIN OFF EXTERNALLY. YOU JUST CAN'T SEE THE RAMIFICATIONS IT HAS HAVING BECAUSE IT'S INTERNAL.
How can that be refuted? |

People get so in into these threads it's not funny I just spent half an hour reading all the threads and they are all either pro or con regarding E's. Every other person say's the same thing either they like it or they don't stop writing reports people and juts post

My god, this is getting old. Are you really this dense?
Cutting off a piece of your skin is physically destroying part of your body. MDMA doesn't destroy anything at all, it just facilitates the flow of serotonin in your brain from one location to another.
Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft and Effexor do something quite similar, and yet they are legal prescription drugs which are known to create dependencies and have physical side effects.
You're grasping at straws. Just quit, now, before you look even worse. |

People who enjoy their drugs will always go to whatever lengths to defend their consumption. They want to believe that something they enjoy is not harming them, so they lie to themselves, and in turn, to others. I know, because I smoked pot for 2 years. While I was in this habbit, I refused to accept that weed was affecting my life in adverse ways. When I saw anti-drug commercials, I laughed them off. Now, in retrospect, I am wiser.
Sadly, the best way to win an argument with drug users is to avoid it.

You have no respect for yourself because you do drugs occasionally. You are poisoning yourself because the medical evidence does not show you are doing irrepairable damage to yourself. |

Well, it's been a while since I've been round these parts... ages in fact. That's neither here not there though.
Why do it? Why not?
There's a school of thought: One can only know reality by messing with it.
Not to say I prescribe to this 'school' (as school's never been my thing), but one should never turn a blind eye to education. Drugs may be bad, drugs may good. All in all, its about having fun.
Sometimes its just too much effort to get in the groove and leave life behind. So, why not take a short cut, eh?
That being said, is this really an issue worth debating? Its not like the parties will agree.
