Nope.
I also don't tell my parents that I drink, drive fast on the highway, or jerk off, or which bars I go to or which girls I go out with. In fact I don't tell them much of anything unless they pry really hard.
How much of your personal life do you discuss with your parents? |

I'm a single child to a single mother...and I'm pretty close with my mom...so I do discuss with her quite a bit. |

Well seeing as how I'm the exact opposite (last of 4 kids, most educated, least talkative, least obedient, and spent by far the most time away from home), I can really only speculate. But if what you want to know is WOULD I tell this to them if the subject came up and they asked me directly, then the answer is yes.
I'm not particularly open with family but I am very honest. They know I drink, and I've had arguments spanning several hours with siblings over Mary Jane. If I was 16, then maybe I'd lie, but I'm 21 - what are they going to do, "ban" me from clubbing? And surely they wouldn't be so naive as to believe that it would stop me from taking any substances even if it were possible - they know better.
The only reason most people wouldn't tell their parents these things is fear. I'm a responsible adult and they know that, so I wouldn't be afraid to tell them. It's not like I'm a frequent doser anyway.
On an aside, even if you could find several people on here who are open with their parents about everything BUT ecstasy, exactly what would that prove? :conf: |

Just curious what are they are so afraid of...i mean it's safe and all...i guess they are all fundy's that think the earth is flat and don't know anything about anything right?
Same goes for your mary jane argument...why were your parents arguing so much anyway?
And if youre so passionate about trying to convince me how good it is and there's nothing to be worried about then why hide it.
And while we're on the subject I have a huge respect for the people that worked their ass off to raise me which is another reason for me not to do drugs...just out of utter respect for these people who will go unmentioned (other than my mother obviously) |

A co-worker of mine told me in the spring that her doctor had said to her, when she was trying to get pregnant, that taking E can affect the chances of you getting pregnant.
How true this really is, who knows.....
P.S. she did get pregnant

I don't know how true this is...I actually asked that before in the thread but nobody knew the answer. It could be true considering alcohol, smoking, and other drugs and substances are often related to impotense and pregnancy problems.
Glad to hear that it all went well for your friend by the way :) |

Honestly.. I have no issue whatsoever with people taking E. My posts were merely my personal reasons for deciding not to dose. I am now looking back on the posts and angry with myself for allowing things to escalate.
And, Diginut, I admitted to taking shrooms (closest thing to E) and embracing a 2 year (sometimes daily) pot habbit as my background information for deciding to eschew E dosing. So, I don't know why I deserve to be sattled into this "high horse" you speak of, but okay, thanks :) |
