| As time2burn (Az) would say, this is an E-tellectual thread! |

| Nope, I don't do E. Booze does just fine. Giving up drugs in General actually helped me get to where I am today. But by all means if you want to pop a pill go ahead. This is Canada and you have the right to do whatever you want to with your own body |

I don't think it's legal yet :conf: so what does the fact that this is Canada has to do with it? :p |

I've had sex many times on a comedown and it's the best feeling in the world. But sex on the actual high is impossible :disbelief |
What is it that you dont understand? A comedown is when the E is wearing off your body, its still a buzz but rather a annoying 1. |

The fact that you have the right to do whatever you want and knowing youhave the coice. One choice you have is to break the law. Not that it is legal but you have the choice. Of course E is not legal, but it is your choice to consume it. |

Guess what?
Aspartame has been chemically engineered to around with your brain and body too! :wtf: |
RJ is right... Cap, if you know something is BAD for you, you said you'd never do it... Case and point, MDMA... But look at Aspartame or any other artificial sweetner. The long-term use of substances like this leads to a higher probability of contracting some sort of cancer!
Lots of drugs have been chemically engineered to with your body... Next time you have a headache, don't take a tylenol because those guys at Whiteall-Robbins have made something to with you. :whip: |

interesting fact about aspartame...
When it is ingested your body does not know how to break it down directly so at one stage of it's digestion it is broken down into formaldehyde. This is a highly carcinogenic chemical that is used to embalm corpses. This has been proven but it's still on the market because they can't prove how long it stays in this stage. So drinking diet coke is like drinking embalming fluid. Cheers! |

People who enjoy their drugs will always go to whatever lengths to defend their consumption. They want to believe that something they enjoy is not harming them, so they lie to themselves, and in turn, to others. I know, because I smoked pot for 2 years. While I was in this habbit, I refused to accept that weed was affecting my life in adverse ways. When I saw anti-drug commercials, I laughed them off. Now, in retrospect, I am wiser.
Sadly, the best way to win an argument with drug users is to avoid it.
I'm done... to each their own. |
Get off your high horse. Telling people that they're deluding themselves simply because they don't agree with you is downright stupid.
Once again, you are telling hundreds of people to stop being objective so they'll be more responsive to your point of view. If your point of view is not objective (and there is absolutely no way you can defend it as such), then how can you possibly expect people who have actually researched this and thought it through to agree with you?
Your entire argument is based on emotion. You've presented no facts, no rationale, just your personal feelings on the subject. While you are entitled to your opinion (and by no means are any of us trying to convince you to use ecstasy), your argument in objective terms is indefensible. Many of us have presented valid points to back up our opinions, and you've done nothing to refute them.
If you've ever taken NyQuil, you've done drugs. If you've ever taken Tylenol, you've done drugs. If you've ever been giving anaesthetic at the dentist, or morphine at the hospital, or taken immodium for diarrhea, or if you've ever had a drink containing ginseng or guarana or alcohol, you've done drugs. These substances, like ecstasy, are chemically engineered to not with your body but your brain.
Look, we don't tell you you're a for NOT wanting to try something new, so don't tell us we're stupid junkies for wanting to do it. The only time it is acceptable to preach is when you have legitimate facts to support your position, and even then you might sometimes want to keep your mouth shut. |
