Try black coffee, cigarettes and pure meth.. it works wonders for school related productivity (retention is good too! :D )

A wide variety of cold medications contain DXM, a dissociative anaesthetic. Supposedly it "helps" people in small doses, and I suppose it does in products like NyQuil.

Yea, DXM supresses the cough reflex in the brain, allowing you to go to sleep without hacking a lung up ;)

Keep in mind, I've only done shrooms ( the closest thing to a chemical drug) and , I've done my homework on E...

The effect: your brain is chemically altered, sending your pleasure senses on overboard.

You could be laying in a field of grass, staring at a wall and you would be having the best time of your life. That said, imagine being in a place that you already enjoy sober - a club with one of your favourite DJ's spinning. Now, multiple the enjoyment of that sober times by 10, that's E for you.

The problem: the only way to reach the same euphoric state is by dosing again. After your dosage, clubbing, and for few some people, life in general is depressing while sober because of the feeling that is possible on E.

My 2 cents.

No...that's not exactly what I've asked...What I meant is what are the long term effects...down the road...on things such as pregnancy...child birth...and just general long term effects...

Is there a reason why nobody is answering that question or you guys just simply don't know?
cap
Oh...

Well, you have to be more specific.

Long-term effects are largely based on consumption;

frequency of dosing and for what time frame, etc....

I'm sure dosing 1 or 2 pills a year for a few years has minimul long-term effects, but I may be wrong.

I know how tempting it is to dose because of the perceived synergy between E & Trance, but once you dose E, your propensity to consume more will almost certaintly go up.

Oh I asked before not nobody answered :toothless So I was tempted to ask again...don't seem like anyone has the answer...especially when it comes to things like pregnancies childbirth and etc.

And yes...the reason why people like the drug and go back to it because they can't recreate that feeling naturally and yes the consumption will go up I agree with you cap.

I've known quite a few people actually who went much beyond to much harder stuff simply because even that wasn't giving them the "good" feeling anymore and then you're in a hell hole...Now I know all of you are all about moderation but regardless of moderation cap is right - you are esentially depressed and you can't seem to go out and have a good time without being on a certain substance.

Why do you need something (chemical or not) to have a good time and enjoy yourself - and can't seem to go without it is a question that nobody answered really yet. (all my questions a few pages back)

Blah, just because I haven't personally dosed, doesn't mean I can't find credible information on it. First hand users and erowid are sufficient sources granting me valid opinion on the subject.

Except if you read those, you'll find that everybody's experience is totally different. In fact, for every individual, each time is different.

It's impossible to imagine a *sensation* from someone's description in words. An E peak is actually very easy to control, so it is totally not what I would call a drug that "s" you up.

Especially with E, which chemically alters your body into having the best time of your life. After that, the only way to reach the same euphoric state is by, you guessed it, dosing again.

Dude, what you're describing sounds more like heroin than ecstasy. MDMA isn't one of those mind-numbing, bliss-inducing substances that makes you feel like a pile of dog after the effects wear off. You don't get E junkies who will do anything to get their next fix. It's like bungee jumping or something, you get a thrill out of it but it's not as though you're left craving more as soon as it's finished.

In a sense it's totally exhausting. Not in a bad way, but the last thing I would want after a pill is another pill. You need to rest and recover, and I personally wouldn't even want to do it more than once every month or couple of months. Not for safety reasons, but for the same kind of reason I wouldn't want to lift weights every single day - most rational people KNOW that our bodies cannot handle this and don't want to test that theory either.

I know friends who have had sex on E

Really. I'm impressed, because that's something most people would consider to be quite difficult.

Almost all of the E-bashing here seems to stem from the argument that there exists potential for abuse. Eureka, you've single-handedly discovered why people chain-smoke, binge-drink, and masturbate. Just as the potential exists for abuse, the potential also exists to use it with relatively small risk - so as I said before, don't equate users with abusers.

It's not totally impossible. Just takes lots of concentration :p

And I suppose you'd know all about that. :nervous:

This thread is ing funny:

A bunch of self-crowned "experts" preaching abstinence or use, quoting articles, websites and making statements of "truth" - when most don't even know what an ionotropic receptor is...

Or how about the same self-crowned "experts" theorize on addiction and gateway drugs, making "this is how it is, i know" conclusions...

Keep up the good work. This is one for the highlight reel. :stongue:

moderation is an illusion!?

Listen dude, LISTEN. I'ma spell this out so even you can understand. We don't NEED it. We ENJOY it as it ENHANCES our experience. We LOVE the music, we ENJOY the DJs reguardless of whether we've have had e that night or not.

We AREN'T robbing ourselves of natural pleasure because it's a high that is still unnatural. We DON'T go into depression or need the drug everytime to feel good about ourselves or enjoy ourself in a sober way.
If you had actually understood my initial comment about seratonin levels many pages back you would understand that any depression afterward would be due to overuse of the drug and with adequite time would dissapear due to the body healing itself.
True, the long term effects are unknown, but from preliinary research I have made the choice that long term negative seem unlikely to harm me given the rare occasion I use it.
