I think it would really depend.... if a promoter was trying to book her and she had no other North American gigs lined up, I really doubt she's going to get on a plane for $500 cdn, *maybe* a few thousand euros. The best bet is to do a flight-share with a handful of other promoters interested in the booking that weekend (or if she was in Detroit during DEMF or whatever). Not always the easiest thing to coordinate admittedly...
too bad no Canadian promoters jumped on Samuel L Session who is going to be playing some US gigs later this month.
I've seen Monika twice recently and was a bit disappointed, but mostly just because of her record selection.
