^Perhaps she does not want to be seen as an one dimensional DJ? (style wise)

Interesting how a DJ/producer's taste in music changes over the years. (Like Max Graham who used to produce some good trance for example)

She's said many times in the last 2 or so years that the harder stuff out there isn't doing it for her anymore - now you can come to expect softer, deeper techno/electro in her sets. The set from this video was recorded and the first hour is typical of what she plays now, but then it gets hard (and that's where the recording cuts off). You can tell she doesn't dig the hard stuff at all anymore because every hard set I've heard from her in the last 2 years is filled with overplayed techno tracks of the last few years - in the case of this video - Cave - Street Carnival

Also on livesets this weekend... Preach fans should tune in :)
Preach's last set from Portugal was one of my favs of his!

The LiveSets Radio show Audio Link, hosted by the Portuguese DJ and Producer Link, will from now on be broadcasted on Saturdays from 21:00 till 23:00 CET. This will make the show a perfect warm-up for your party night.

This weekly show has had more than 40 sessions, and is followed by many listeners every week. Guest artists such as Cristian Varela, Marco Bailey, DJ Murphy, Hertz, Spiros Kaloumenos, and many others have been on Link’s show, all with exclusive sets for Audio Link. The show will definitely keep its high level on this new day and time.

The first show on this schedule will feature the Canadian DJ Preach with an amazing and exclusive 2-hour set, recorded last week in Porto, Portugal.

So be sure to tune in to LiveSets Radio, this Saturday at 21:00 CET!

the track ID from that video? I think it's some mash up or remix of Cave - Street Carnival

speaking of Cave there are a few recent releases of his on my heavy rotation right now!
His new one with Ortin Cam on Patterns especially is dope!

It would be nice to see him get booked in North America.. I don't seem to recall him playing here yet.

He definitely needs to come to toronto with his sexy tribal techno sound. (Though he's diversifying his sound)

Cave - Friday night is a decent release and Cave - Plutonium didn't get the recognition it deserved IMO. Cave - Speleon (Ben Sims remix) just rocks.

This guy pretty much got me hooked on techno.

BTW, I need tune suggestions, looking for stuff similar to WJ Henze - Direct Voice Input or Wave & Glider - Coffee.

Cheers

Cave's remix of Titanium's Abudante last year is also a stormer! I still play it quite a bit.. one of my favourite tribal recs.
I'm sure he wouldn't be very expensive to book either... and it'd be a night of fun party techno! hopefully next year :)
