In other news, there's going to be a serious Detroit shakedown going on at the Basement on August 15. Alan Oldham, a.k.a. DJ T-1000 (who as far as I can recall hasn't been to Toronto in ages), Antwon "Twonz" Faulkner and Derrick "Dez" Ramirez, who used to run the killer Detor events back in the 90s.

Mr. Oldham's schedule also has him penned in at "The Beach, Toronto" for August 16, and seeing as Promise is assisting with the promo, I think it's pretty easy to determine what that means...

Glad to see that Detroit is staking it's claim in this city again - we're long due for a fresh injection of Motor City talent.

I mean I could easily wake up tomorrow and say, “You know what? I feel like being famous. I’m going to start playing minimal.” And I could go and get a computer and get the latest software and just cheer lead and wave my hands and blow kisses, etc, and I would make ten times what I make right now and be a million times more famous...

I don't know. I think The Mod Club is a good club for him. It's a bit more big room. He's definitely not a College St. DJ though haha.

Ah, apparently Beyer isn't at stereo, but some club in old port - boo.

I've booked my train / hotel for the long weekend and not heading back until Tuesday at 3pm, so I should be able to get up to some no-good Monday night.
