Yeah all the Tresor sets were recorded this past weekend, but not all of them will be available for download.. a few artists did not give permission. They will be on Livesets.com in the next few days.
Thankfully I'll still get a copy of Cisco's set... probably my favourite of the weekend! :D |

I was told that paxahau records all of the sets on every stage at DEMF, then it is up to the artist to release it. I really really hope Richie and Luciano release theirs - definitely the best 2 sets I heard! |
So Mills was mildly enjoyable, as you mentioned in the review thread? Too bad.
Im assuming expectations were quite high all around, so he would have had to throw down a tight set.
edit: Mills is playing Awakenings in September. |

Mills is Mills. He's a straight shooting techno DJ,doesn't do crowd antics, doesn't do builds, it's one record into another and another. After coming from Richie in the beatport tent where the crowd was going off like this was the last DJ they would ever hear in their life, I thought things were pretty tame for Mills' set. I guess I was expecting a different experience.
It was more than mildly enjoyable - just not as much my thing as Richie was. |

Might even see him before then at Extrema and/or Nature One. I'd much prefer to see him in a club than a festival though. |

I have only heard one or two Len Faki sets before, just came across this fresh one on Livesets... minimal-electro-ish apparently. I hope it is as good as the productions I have of his!

When Beltram plays outside of this usual track selection he is very good.....this set has a taste of that. Alot of familiar tracks selected however.

A friend of mine was thinking about going to this event for his bday tomorrow, but this is what he has to say:
"don't know yet, the lineup is awesome, but the festival as a whole absolutely lacks atmosphere and because of the security there, can't really feel free there....free your mind my ass"
I will await your review to see if that is the case this year again or not :) |
