Pullen wouldn't be who he is today if he hadn't started out using vinyl... ;)
I tell all my students the same thing - the medium doesn't matter, as long as you enjoy what's coming out of the speakers! At the same time, I ensure they understand that there are certain subtleties that you learn with vinyl that you don't get from pushing buttons. :p
