Well considering it's nearly 2008, thought I'd ask who everyone thought was the best dj, producer, song, release, label, etc. of the techno world for 2007.

My Picks:

Producer: Barem/ Gaiser/ Format: B
DJ: Bart Skils/ Pan-Pot
Release: Noah Pred- Ecocosm, Rejected- S13/Cliche
Song: Grindvik- Nand-grind

What does ev eryone else think.

yeah the lineups here are nuts as you know... I don't even really go out all that often, maybe twice a month, but when promoters book 6 or 7 headliners for one night it definitely enables you to see a lot of DJs (many who never get booked in North America either)! I was just writing a sort of 'techno year in review' for my site and compiled a list of the headliners I have managed to see this year... many of them multiple times too. I think last year was about 1/4 that. Next year I will go to less festivals though, there were just some I wanted to check out at least once like Dance Valley.

I don't think I could narrow it down to a few to be honest... I heard so many great sets! Definitely Speedy J, Murphy, Cari Lekebusch, Gayle San, Joey Beltram, Surgeon, Ortin Cam, Advent and yes, Tony all stand out though for sure (his Free Your Mind set was sooo good). :)
