True. But I think bringing them in on a big night as part of combo booking - like 11 yr. anni having trance AND techno - would help the case.
Guess I have a better chance just going to see them elsewhere rather then waiting to come here. I'd just enjoy the more vivid memories at a local club. |
I see why you want em here - so do I - but I'm saying it is a huge financial risk and probably seen as unnecessary by a place like the guv (tho clarke played at guv on Canada Day in 05) |

clarke latest sets have not impressed me much | I've seen him a few times recently and really liked his sets... but I have also downloaded a few recent links and wasn't crazy about them.
Going to see him again tonight actually, I imagine it will be recorded. Amsterdam Dance Event with Vitalic and Speedy J! :D (probably won't stay late enough to hear much of DC though) |

Interesting. Is it a pop album? lol
edit: haha, just heard a sample on her myspace. Not shabby...but definately not what I was expecting for her album. |

Not all his live sets are great, but not many can play consistently perfect all the time, especially if you play as diverse as Clarke. I really enjoy his radio show, hence my whoring out of the shows posts on this thread. :)
And yeah his guest sets have been awesome lately (a la Hood). I liked his Umvelt set from Sept. It was almost an electro/breaks set...very unique sound. |

I'm curious. I find artist albums made of all 7+min electronic songs to be generally boring - but hers sounds like she put a lot of thought and emotion into it.
The song on her myspace is a Leonard Cohen cover - and not what the rest of the album will sound like. |

You might be the right person to ask MissyM but I'm going to be in Thailand over Christmas and New Years, and obviously with Thailand being a big Aussie vacation spot you might know - but where do I get any event listings for the Islands or Bangkok? |

speaking of artist albums I need to listen to Preach's Transatlantic CD that Mazen just gave me... I know it will be a departure from the usual fare but curious to hear it! Looks like I will be interviewing Preach again soon too.
Some sets.. old and new :D
