It was weird, though, they weren't available for saturday to tuesday, but when i switched it to friday (4 nights), a few popped up. Could only get a King Bed room, but it should be fine since I'm not exactly sure who, if anybody will be accompanying me. It is a two room suite, though, with the sofa bed, which is just as good as two beds, imo..... I got a decent deal, but not nearly as good as it would have been had I not been a dumbass and waited so long.
EDIT: Just checked, and they are still available, as well as rooms at the RenCen, Hilton Garden, and Westin... among others.

Dan! dude.. I gotta check out Detroit, hopefully we can have a kick ass TA pre-party. SOOOOO jealous of everyone WMC experience. I should save up enough for this and hopefully enjoy this massive technofest!
i will check back here to see if anyone needs an extra travel buddy or shared accommodations. |

I just checked on the actual DblTree site, said 29/30 nights are unavailble... can't really add more nights because I think that's all my friends need...

EDIT - Checked the DoubleTree, Kayak and Hotels.ca sites just now, all for any room but check in 29 and check out 31... NOTHING :( |

I got bored and checked up DoubleTree on Google Maps...
Here is what I got...
Walking directions to Woodward Ave

Played around with Google Street view.... LMAO at the hotel, the intial time Google street view went by it was ghetto, now it's the hotel... they must have went up and down First and W.Lafayette one year, and then only down First another year... because if you go along just W Lafayette past the First intersection, it gets ghetto and gloomy again hahaha...
It's a bit further than I expected when I first booked, but ohh well.. |

| bout the same distance as the holiday inn. takes like 10-15 min to walk it. wicked sandwhich place beside it. I think I had four philly cheese steaks from there |

yes! that place was awesome, nothing better than grabing a dog or burger before your drunk walk back or from hart plaza...soo many condiments/toppings too! |

so the two hotels that are directly across the street are booked / unavailable as is the doubletree where a bunch of you are staying?
given that those 3 options appear to be gone what would be the best alternative? how far is the official demf hotel (The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit) from the actual festival grounds?
