I wonder what's going on? That place is/was the ideal place to stay.. surely they'd be losing a lot of profit if they didn't allow demf bookings.. :/

They probably just haven't started accepting reservations yet.

From working in the hotels... sometimes it's better to take a loss of room revenue profit then to deal with the extra costs incurred in maintenance/cleaning fees to follow....which could equate to profit losses afterall...

Ya. In. Little to nothing can hold me back this year!!

The thing is though, how much demand for hotel rooms is there in Detroit throughout the year? I find it highly unlikely that they'd forgo this opportunity.

Is it attached to a convention centre too/or is it a partial convention centre? ... they will get the convention business for the year....

we made it very difficult for people to check in over the likes of New Years eve...straight from the 30th-1st. We were busy yes, but never 100% occupancy....

Just went on Marriott.com... they're using the high pricing strategy now it seems.... $269us a night....

We actually did reserve a room through our friend who works for the US gov't. He got a good rate.

I could book a regular room at that point to but didn't.

Last year you could not book at the Marriott Courtyard across the street but this year you can.

I was searching surrounding hotels to see if there were ones with suites. I know the official hotel last year was a different one as well.

That's for a junior suite.

I searched for the weekend before and it was still 139/night for a king or 2 doubles. But then when i searched demf weekend they only offered junior suites. But then when i went to book they said it was no longer available.

Ya. If you want to cancel or change, you just have to do it before May 28th typically (or 24 hours before you check in).

Pumped that SO many TOTAs have been flocking to my hood for DEMF. I remember going to DEMF when it was still free and only a handful of my friends from Windsor were interested.
