Good luck jay. Hit me up if you feel the inclination
Also, I think its funny how some people acted a certain way with treating suicide when da passed, but pulled a 180 when a similar incident with anf occured. |

Because I don't find this similar at all.
Crying for attention (not using this in a bad way as he ended up needing help) is not the same as pulling the trigger.
It was out of context with Jay and that is why it was hard to take him serious.
I don't find "attempting suicide" and actual suicide on the same playing field.
If there are suicidal thoughts, there can be enough energy to act on the thoughts, whereas there wasn't the energy while in a worse depressive state. Don't get me wrong - Raul started off OD'ing on pills but being that the last time was maybe 3 years prior... I just thought he got better. He didn't.
Atleast this is what I learned from my experience. |

It was out of context with Jay, which is why many of us decided to take it seriously.
Also, how is attempting suicide not "on the same playing field"? In both scenarios, the individual goes in with the intent of ending their life. The only difference is the outcome; one person succeeds by making the trigger go click (and really, they're only attempting to kill themselves until the bullet hits the right part of the body), the other person fails by taking the wrong dose or not tying the noose tight enough. At the end of the day, each individual chose to end their life and acted accordingly. |

| That's actually not true. People who really want to end it just do it. They generally don't offer much explanation or give any hints about it. That doesn't mean that all suicide threats shouldn't be taken seriously...but there IS a difference between one who really needs to end it, and one who just needs attention. |
