Yes, and the way people attempt to cry out can also lead to self-justification for actually going through with it. They might not be making themselves obvious enough so when people do not respond its their justification. "No one cares to help me, so I should just end it." |
Have you ever experienced suicide other then the time you peed glowing neon yellow when you ODed on vitamn E pills you purchased off the web thinking they were penis enlargement pills? |

I think people who commit suicide mention it first before finally doing it, it is a cry for help not necessary looking for attention when their cry for help isn't answered they then finally do it. But there are factors like if you killed someone or did a crime that will send you to prison you might skip the cry for help and just do it without letting anyone know but I don't have the education you have in this issue so I feel I can be wrong. But a cry for help can be more than a post of TA, it can be withdrawal from friends and family and basically things people don't fully notice until the person is dead. Basically a cry for help is vast and much more than a letter or telling someone you are going to kill yourself. |
A cry for help is a cry for help, I was never arguing against that. |

Thats not even close to the same thing. Suicide is about the aftermath. The dead person no longer counts. They are dead. Pointless, gone, forgotten. What they leave in their wake is still very much there and I have experienced that first hand.
So, please, you shut up and sit down, because you are just being stupid. |

Imo, not the actual thoughts about suicide are crucial. It is the actions that led to that situation in the first place. Most of the suiciders have absolutely fixable reasons behind their thoughts of killing themselves. A break-up with a gf is not a viable reason, nor is, for example, not being very active in the society and staying in home constantly. When you can't control your actions and you end in a situation that is forcing (?) you to put an end to your life, this is entirely your problem. People that are indeed in such a situation in life (being desperately ill, completely forgotten, crushed from all sides) can and actually deserve to end their misery. But for f'ck sake, ending a relationship or something similar is not that kind of situation. Probably 95% of the suicides or threats to suicide in the western societies could've been avoided if those people weren't so unreasonable behind their actions and actually worked on fixing the problem. There is (almost) always a solution.

So, please, you shut up and sit down, because you are just being stupid. | I didn't read much of the thread and I am sorry for your uncle but do you feel for him? Like, why he did this? It takes alot of strength to commit suicide.. and guts. Wow - I can't imagine it!
I cry alot because I miss Raul and because I am pms'ing (lol). So when you have Raul's fav dj at a party I went to Friday - Rank 1.. and I couldn't even get through the breakdown of his very first song . Then, the next night you have Markus playing @ Trance Energy dropping Rank 1 - Breathing (raul's fav track at raul's fav party.. we all know how much he loved TE - even MARKUS!) of course I'm gonna have an emo-fied weekend. |

Are you seriously flaming over such a sensitive subject for a lot of people, here? Pain and its experience being a relative sum kind of negates a need for one-ups-man-ship. I think the only people who have experienced more than me and whose opinions I might value more are soldiers who have been exposed to combat, then civilians who have suffered loss by natural disaster, then war, and then torture victims.
But, seriously, flaming someone because he's relaying his experience with the familial aftermath of a suicide? Come on, man. Regardless of what other differences you might have, maybe this thread isn't the best place for such blunt and ostensibly childish replies. |
