I know theres been plenty of bashing Guvernment threads, but this is created simply because i will NEVER go again. Just wondering if anyone else is with me on this. Theres no ing way that a group that we had lastnight during the early part of the night should vanish as quickly as it did. I dont blame you guys for leaving, i blame the club and the people in attendence. Way too in packed, way too ing hot, and although there were cool people there lastnight, all of the positive from them were all for not as the sketch bags took over the party. See you all at System or Boa-Redux...places we can actually rock out to, and not worry about catching elbows upside the head.

I dont know, wasnt there. All i know is lastnight i had to leave all my friends to go dance beside the bar since it was the only place i could dance without someone bumping into me rudely, or cramping my space by just standing there. Not to mention the retards with the glow sticks. |

it wasnt that bad last night
tiesto, pvd and ferry were all worse.
not saying that it was comfy or anything...just compared to some of the craziness weve experienced this year...last night was a walk in the park.....especially after like 3.30 |

| I'm just glad some of you are finally realizing this. I wouldn't have even tried to go to the guv last night, I knew it'd be packed. If you really wanted to dance, you shoulda gone to the kool haus. I'll never go see one of the top progressive or trance DJs at the guv . |

atleast you know what its gonna be like and dont come...what annoys me is those people who know they'll have a night...its like they go just so they can bitch about it to everyone afterwords. |

You know what, it wasnt so much the packed to the dancefloor that pissed me off.....it was the ignorant pricks that you bumped into througout the whole night. No manners what so ever, and just too much wandering. Can people find a ing spot on the dancefloor and just live with it??? |

I agree with Floorwhore for sure. I was saying to the group I was with that it wasn't the actual number of people in the bar, it was the type of people there. I've never been bumped into so many in' times. It's really too bad that so many ignorant people can get together and totally ruin a night out with a world class DJ. It really reflects poorly on the Toronto EDM scene, IMO.
For me, System Soundbar is the best club in the city. That place was rammed for Steve Lahler the first time he was here this year. There was no bull bumping and shoving, it was a club full of people that were into the music, and wanting to party. |

The Guvernment has always reflected poorly on the scene. The only thing they've done really that i can say is positive is bringing in world class talent, but thats all they've done. They continue to ram the place on special events with no concern what so ever for the people in attendence. They know the capacity, yet the greed has them overlooking it on a constant basis. Soon enough, i dont think there will be a reason to hit the Guv anyways. With Boa-Redux showing us how a party experience SHOULD be like, and the amount of talent they frequently bring, i dont have a need for The Guvernment anymore. Just look how smoothly Danny Tenaglia on Canada Day went. Always had room to dance, smiles everywhere, and the only bumping into that happened were from people dancing their asses off. Thats the way it should be. |

i hadn't been since lawler in november and last night totally reminded me of why i hate it there.
what planet are those people from? honestly. i couldn't dance cos there were constantly cracked out people shoving me this way and that and flailing themselves everywhere or sitting on the floor behind me and getting lightshows or whipping their stupid hair in my face. and holy , what is the deal in the washrooms? there is a line, you have to wait in it, not shove your way in!
that club puts me in a bad mood. i might have enjoyed sasha a little bit more if the crowd was different and there were, oh say, half the amount of people in there. and yeah, it's not like this is anything new, but i was just reminded of how brutal it really is.
i did, however, take a perverse amount of pleasure in shoving people who were dancing into me or not moving. the polite ones, of course i was nice to, but if you're rude, sorry, i'm not being nice anymore. that's where my elbows come in very very handy :D
and for the last time, don't ing come up behind me, put your hands on my hips, and try to dance with me. first of all, please, i have standards. secondly, does that actually work for some people?!?!?!?!

off late alot of girls hae been saying the same thing...apparently it even happens at system now....(well at least i havent ehard of it before) why the hell do guys like taht exist and give the rest of us guys a bad name?
oh and last nigth i met so many random people was nice..i actually felt a sorta happiness in the air....ive now learned to just whiteout teh cracked out nuts |

i think the biggest question here is, do you hate the club or the people?
i personall love the guvernment, its a good club when there are no people in it, it has good lighting, good sound system, and it brings world class DJ's.
now as for the crowd, i absolutly hate it, i mean whats up with all the ed up people in there? i wont talk too much about what other people have already mentioned.
guys randomly grabbing girls is stupid, when one dude tried to pick up one of the female TA's i was with last night i leaned over to him and said "dude if you wanna do that go to the hip hop room, girls here will just get pissed off." he then made his way to the orange room. absolutely disgusting.
i found it hard to dance last night because of egomaniacs forcing thier way through the crowd.
in conclusion, the guv is a great club it just has the worst crowd which s it up for all of us which is a damn shame. |
